The Castle Inn

My mother, sister and I recently stayed at the Castle. From the moment of our arrival, we knew we were staying in a very special place. The staff are wonderful, very attentive, thoughtful and accommodating and went out of their way to ensure our stay was an enjoyable one. The rooms are lovely, clean and very spacious, with wonderful gas fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs. And the food is absolutely fantastic - carefully prepared and a true culinary delight. I heartily recommend a stay at the Castle - it's an absolutely wonderful place! :-)

My wife and I recently stayed at the Castle Inn for a brief getaway together. Chris (the general manager and chef) was very pleasant to talk to and offered additional value to our stay through his awesome cooking at discounted rates. The gourmet meals were first rate. Room was clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and accomodating. It was just the getaway we were hoping for. Can't wait to see the grounds in summer!

Our small group of clergy retreatants had a wonderful time at our overnight retreat. Chris offered us a terrific package--luxurious, large, comfortable rooms, delicious dinner, breakfast and a meeting room in the morning--all at a very reasonable price considering the high quality of services provided. We appreciated the fine food, Maritime wine and exemplary service. Staff went out of their way to make sure that all our needs were met. Can't wait to visit again when the pool, hot tub, gym and spa addition is complete. The clincher for us was that we live just a 20 minute drive down the St. John River Valley. Didn't have to drive for hours to get to our retreat location. This is a rare gem in an area of the province that just doesn't offer this caliber of accommodation. I'll say it again--fabulous!

This Inn is a gem tucked away, hiding in sleepy little Perth-Andover. My partner and I have stayed here twice and will be going back for sure. The rooms are spacious with elegant decor - we've stayed in both the Royal and Victorian suites. The value is incredible as well. Then there's the FOOD...nothing short of fabulous. When the wine we had ordered was not available the staff upgraded our bottle at no extra charge...I have rarely seen that happen. Both times we've visited the chef has offered to give us a tour of the grounds and upcoming additions to the Inn. If you're at all sitting on the fence, don't...this place is a genuine treat...go and see for yourself.

My wife and I stayed at The Castle Inn for our honeymoon. It was much better than we would have dreamed.

Chef Chris really went out of his way for us. We arrived late at night after the kitchen had closed but he offered to make us anything we desired. He took our simple request and really made it special for us.

The room was spectacular. It was spacious with antique furniture, a full size dining set and sitting area with electric fireplace. There was also a large flat screen TV. The bathroom had a wonderful two person whirlpool bath and heated floors. It had snowed the night before we left. When I went out to clean off my car a staff member had already cleared it for me.

We recently had a Valentines Day dinner there and Chef Chris delivered yet again. Our meal was astounding and the thoughtfulness of the staff was incredible.

We look forward to many more trips to The Castle Inn and would recommend it to anyone.

We also recently learned that they are going to be opening a full service spa soon and cannot wait to give it a try.

My husband and I are from Calgary, Alberta, and we were lucky enough to find The Castle Inn as the setting for our wedding in June 2009. The search started back in the Autumn of 2008 when we were back east visiting his family in New Brunswick. We were on a mission to find the perfect spot to have our wedding the following summer! Initially, we had planned to have our wedding further south, in the location of St. Andrews on the sea, which, if you have ever been to that popular summer destination, you would think you wouldn't find a more beautiful spot than there....however, upon our first visit to check out The Castle Inn in Perth-Andover, which was only 15 minutes from where my husbands family lived, we felt as though we found New Brunswicks best kept secret, and we knew that The Castle Inn was the perfect place to have our intimate wedding! With a guest list planned for 30 of our closest family and friends, about half of which would be travelling from Alberta, we wanted something private that wouldn't be interruppted by wandering strangers.

From the very beginning Chris was great to deal with. Being that we were planning all of this from the other side of the country, he was very understanding with all our questions and constant emails that went back and forth over the months leading up to our wedding In June 2009.
By the time our wedding time came, the renovations that were being done over the winter were complete, and we were able to have all of the out of town guests stay at The Castle for 3 nights over the course of our wedding. The 11 rooms are all very spacious, cozy, and clean, and the entire place is decorated to give you the comforting feeling of old world charm. Very unique!

The food at The Castle is AMAZING! I understand that for the area, the prices might seem a bit high at first, but it is definately a great value for what you recieve! For special occasions or a nice dinner to try something new, I'm sure you will find yourself wanting to go back again and again. For our wedding dinner we went with the buffet style option. Chris prepared an amazing assortment of food for us! Coming from Calgary, you would pay top dollar for the wide selection of what we received. It really was fantastic!!

The hospitality of Chris and his staff were excellent. Very friendly and accomodating. You won't regret your decision to visit The Castle Inn, whether it be for dinner, an overnight stop while travelling through, a nice relaxing weekend getaway, or a even longer stay. We are so glad we chose this unique place for such a special day, and look forward to going back to visit it for years to come!

Thanks again Chris!
Sincerely,
Jake and Neely Lloyd
