This is a beautiful course. Well maintained fairways, greens and pretty plantings everywhere. The starter, Pam, was super friendly and put us at ease as this was our first time playing this course. The golf course canteen had any kind of snack that you could want. Despite a few short rain showers we had a wonderful time.
We stayed at the on site hotel and really enjoyed sitting on the deck that was attached to our room. The Aveda soap, shampoo, etc was a wonderful upscale surprise. The view of the river, marina and well maintained grounds was breathtaking . My husband and I I both felt , however, that the room could use a serious update.
We ate breakfast in the golf restaurant - the food came quickly, was tasty and the staff was super friendly. We made purchases in the golf pro shop as we thought that the prices there were reasonable.
There are many golf courses to choose from on PEI - the next time that we go there to play golf, we will return this course.

I first played Brudenell over 30 years ago when it was the only course at the Brudenell resort and long before it became overshadowed by its next door neighbor Dundarave and down the road cousin Crowbush Cove. It was the first resort course in Eastern PEI and for many years the best, but enough about the past - what's it like to play today?

As a course Brudenell has changed little in the last three decades. It was then and is now a very good golf course with some absolutely terrific holes and a few not so great. Not surprisingly the really memorable holes all feature water, either as a hazard, as a scenic distraction or as in the case of # 11 Eagle's Aeyrie, both. Unusually it has six each of par 3, 4 and 5 holes which I personally like because you can make up some scoring on the par 5's what you lose on the difficult par 4's.

The course was in great shape the two times we played and pace of play was good - under 4 and a half hours. The facilities at Brudenell have improved greatly over the past few years with a pro shop that is one of the best in Atlantic Canada in terms of selection, good practice areas and electric carts. This is a course you can walk, unlike Dundarave. As noted by a few others it is a bit pricey, but only by Maritime golf standards. In most places at the height of the season this would be a very reasonable course.

Not quite as nice as the neighbouring Dundarave, but still a very pretty and challenging course. Its also quite walkable (while Dundarave really is not). Not a bad idea to avoid the cost of the cart, since there is not GPS. My only issue with this course - there's too many blind shots and dog-legs. But its always well-maintained, and its a fun challenge with some very pretty holes.

We were golfing behind 8 very hungover/ drunk golfers who were a mess. They were golfing so slow that there were three holes open after their first hole. The starter and marshall moved us in front, treated us incredibly and kept the guys moving. The staff at the golf course are professional and go above and beyond to make the golf round a great experience. We'll be back soon!

This course is still my favorite track in Atlantic Canada. It's a long course with six par threes, six par fours and six par fives. It has some very challenging holes with well protected greens. Some very long par fours and some short par fives that offer risk and reward shots.
The staff is welcoming and the entire process is very professional, from arrival to your last putt.
This course is worth the trip to the East side of the Island.
