Our stay at Calibishie Cove was wonderful. We were in the penthouse for 7 days and we could not have picked a better spot for our Dominica adventure. The suite was outstanding and the view was spectacular. The location was ideal to discover what Dominica offers. The North end of the island is quiet and I'd go back to the Calibishie Cove in a heartbeat. The staff was pleasant and always there to help. The guide services provided through Calibishie Cove were excellent. Jenner...you are the man!! Already trying to figure out our return.

This was our second stay on Dominica Island and as well our second stay at Calibishie Cove and we definitely did not regret. We booked the Rainforest Suite and we really enjoyed the relaxing evenings while listening to nature and the sea. While the view might be even more beautiful in other rooms we were able to watch the hummingbirds while hanging around in our hummock. Be aware that the name “Rainforest Suite” says it all: this room is really close to the rainforest and if you are afraid of geckos catching some sun on your patio, go and book a club hotel.
The girls at Calibishie Cove are excellent cooks and breakfast and dinner was pure enjoyment.
In contrast to what other reviews say: there are definitively no cameras on this property but infrared sensors for automatic lightening.

We loved this place. We spent 2 nights in the rainforest suite and 5 nights in the penthouse suite and both were exactly what we were looking for. You can't beat the view, the relaxed feel, the wonderful staff, and the location (remote, which is what we were looking for). The natural beauty of this place was only enhance by the staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home. Their suggestions were spot on and more than anything they made us feel at home in their home. The island and the people of Dominica have a way of doing this. I have never felt more comfortable on a Caribbean island than I have on Dominica and Calibishie Cove exceeded our expectations and my wife and I look forward to returning!

Room Tip: Splurge for the penthouse!

My wife and I spent 3 nights in the penthouse. Very spacious and clean with some of the best views anywhere in the Caribbean. The included breakfast was nice and the fridge can in handy. We didn't do any cooking but there were 1 or 2 restaurants within walking distance and several more only a few minutes away by car. Staff was friendly although they didn't really ask or offer much in the way of activities. That was okay by us though. Very comfortable bed with nice breezes at night. Good location for hiking and other activities on north side of island.

A wonderful solitary place with a beautiful view of the Atlantic and surrounding jungle. We booked 6 nights in the Seaview room and got absolutely satisfying stay. The room was spacious and cozy with a large veranda, we felt like at home from the first moment. The room keeps comfortable temperature without climate control. The hotel has a perfect location away from the cities and the highway that makes the place really calm and silent: just you and the nature around. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We would like to pick out Pitches, the chef, who has individual approach to the guests. The hotel location allows direct access to the beach, just 5 min of stepping down. The place is good for snorkeling (the equipment can be leased in the hotel free of charge).

Room Tip: Seaview rooms have better view.

We had a great Dominica expereinece, staying at Calibishie Cove was a big part of this. Staff is very friendly, rooms are spacious and have have nicer than expected showers. Walking distance to town and to Hodges beach..Probably the best 'north coast' place to stay at. Close to 5 stars, but:

- At night it gets windy, there is no way to fully close the windows (they are fixed wooden slats). Noise from the wind could be annoying to some people.
- Breakfasts were hit or miss. They need a better system for providing early 'to-go' breakfasts for those leaving on adventures. Surprising lack of fruit (no banana til the last day; no coconut ever; no mango).

But these are minor problems - so I'd highly recommend a stay here, but couldn't quite go to 5 stars.

We are so glad you had a wonderful time.

Please accept our sincere apologies, we had a new person buying our groceries and we very much appreciate your bringing to our attention that we did not have our usual plentiful supply of fruit. This has been immediately rectified. Thank you again.

We sorry the wind did not cooperate with you but the sea breeze is usually a wonderful asset, bringing a wonderful cool breeze to keep the rooms pleasant. That being said, we take our guest feedback seriously and we have made arrangements to have windows that close put inside the current hardwood louvre windows, so guests will have the choice between a pleasant sea breeze or closing the window on the rare occasion the wind is too cold.

Thank you again for all your wonderful compliments and feedback. We look forward to welcoming you and all of our future treasured guests again.

From the moment we checked into Calibishe Cove, we felt right at home. Jervelyn welcomed us and helped us get our bearings as we had just flown into Dominica after a day of tumultuous travel. She told us where we could find amazing food and made travel arrangements for us to the restaurant. Morning breakfasts on the balcony added a touch of soft romance and the delightful young ladies at the Cove (Peaches and team) were all so charming and hospitable.

The breeze in the room was unforgettable-even flowing while we were sleeping at night. The sounds of the ocean were unimaginable. I would definitely return and I couldn't have imagined the staff doing anything more for us to make us feel more at home. Their concern, their help, their hospitality was all so genuine....all at an amazing value.

I would go back in a heartbeat. It was gorgeous and a great base in Calibishe.
