I have stayed there once before. It is very clean and the people there are always very friendly and helpful. There is always hot water and good pressure. (One luxury I always need is a hot shower). The desk speaks English if your Spanish is not so hot. The trip before I had an older room, not quite as nice as the newer ones but still very clean. That room had a balcony and a view of Santiago. (One of the main attractions of this place is that it is very high and overlooks all of Santiago) This time I had a basement room. Large and very clean, no problems, I just missed sitting out on the balcony reading. The maids were very nice. (Putting flowers in the room and rose petals on the bed.) The restaurant was very good serving free breakfast. You can eat inside the restaurant or outside on the balcony with a spectacular view of the city at night. I stayed 6 days and always had my meals on the balcony. Some words of warning. The place is hard to find, even for the local cab drivers. Have a map or insure the cab driver knows where it is. The weather is often cool. Both times I was there I needed a jacket at night and sometimes during the day. There is not much to do there. You can walk, read, watch cable TV, eat in the restaurant, or spend romantic time. A walk a ways down the main road is very nice, the walk back up will have you breathing hard. Cab drivers do not like to travel the main road at night, a little dangerous because of the altitude and the road. On another subject, if you are flying into the DR for the first time, there is a $10 tourist card you need to get. This must be bought before going through customs. Have the change and things will go faster.

We prepaid for this hotel and then had no way to find it. So, we ended up staying elsewhere and having to pay again for the same night. Is there some reason there are no driving directions for these places? Surely the booking agent could provide something better. We have a GPS and there was no information that it recognized. We have visited many countries and this was a first...

At this moment I'm at camp David having breakfast and enjoying the spectacular view. I can't say enough about this place, the room I stayed in was rather large and very well kept. The staff especially the two woman at the front desk were wonderful. Sorry I can't remember their names but I would visit them often and just and just chit chat and laugh. They would call me gringo. My second visit and they instantly remember me and greeted me. Only downside is about 20 mins from the center of the city. Taxi are always available with a simple phone call. Also their restaurant is good. This is day three for me and I'm staying one more nite. Also a piece of advice, call the hotel directly and don't use a booking agency like expedia. You will get a better rate. Just ask the lovely girls what your looking for.

Room Tip: Ask for room 10 best room without the best value. You won't regret it.

Not easy to find, very far off the beaten path, nestled on a mountain top just outside Santiago. The room we stayed in was very comfy, Very well kept, had all the amenities. We were on a upper floor and had a great view of the city below. We had dinner in their restaurant and the food there was top notch. Good portions as well. We were surprised at what we paid for the quality, much less than what you would expect to spend. We highly recommend a stay there. Be prepared to have to take a cab or moto concho if you do not have a rental.

Room Tip: Pick an upper floor with a view of the city

I've returned to Ranch Camp David to find, that this time around is not just peacefull, but that they also added some luxury, the hotel has two sections, one offering oversize rooms with private balconies facing the city of Santiago, these rooms are not as luxurius as the renovated side, but is also a great choice, if you're looking for a more modern decor, then the other side is for you, either way, you'll be delighted.
The restaurant is also a great asset to this location, I prefer to eat my meals al fresco (Outside) however in winter it could be a little cool.
This is a place to disconnect from everything, but with all the amenities that you'll need.
Room service is great, as you either eat at the room or at your balcony.
Great for couples.

Room Tip: It depends what you're looking for, is very quiet on both sides, I prefer the side where the res...

Beautiful, comfortable clean room, very good service, the breakfast is included in the rate an its good too. Beautiful, extraordinary city view. Good food at the restaurant. this hotel is good to rest, because they don't have any other facility's at the hotel, if you want to go party at Santiago city is a very good option too. but if you want fun at the hotel this is not your option. I definitely come again.

Probably one of the cleanest and safest places to stay in Santiago. The best feature this hotel has to offer is there restaurant and there small collection of historic cars. Great for groups or couples.
Some of the drawbacks: far from everything else,no pool

Room Tip: Ask for a room with mountainside view, Tell them you would like to stay in the newly remodeled side...
