Roger and his staff are delightful and attentive. Our room was functional and clean rooms. The breakfast was extremely generous and the service was excellent. This guesthouse is set in an extremely quiet, peaceful and picturesque location which is great for couples. A wonderful place to relax.

Room Tip: Excellent views from the top floor.

We traveled around the world and stayed in over 60 guesthouses and hostels over our trip. Jamaica was one of the last places we visited and to our delight Nuestra Casa was by far the best guesthouse we had stayed in. The moment we walked in and had a look around we started to worry about the price as the house looked and felt so good and we had no idea how much it would be. The price is nowhere near the comfort, beauty and quality of this place. In Jamaica one might feel paying too much for too little but in this house it is the other way around.

The house and the rooms are pretty, tastefully and lovingly decorated. For us the big bonus in our room was the bookshelf filled with books to read. We loved the openness of the house, one could feel the fresh air and the breeze. There is no need for air condition nor mosquito nets because of the air flow. The roof top terrace is perfect for a late afternoon beer with the view to the sea. There is also a very pretty and big patio where one can lounge. The meals are served at the patio and we cannot think of a better way to start the day. The coffee is just unforgettable!

Roger and his mum Lillian are simply beautiful people who will welcome you with warmth and care. As they have lived in Jamaica for a long time, their knowledge of the whole island is huge. Anika and Jeremy are a cool addition to the cool place and the owners. Anika is a good chef and the Jamaican breakfasts are tasty. We only had breakfasts as there is a little cute cookshop in Billy's Bay. There is always a cold beer at Nuestra Casa waiting for a thirsty guest.

For us the most unforgettable thing about Nuestra Casa was the intimate feeling. As we had traveled for seven months coming to the end of our trip the serenity, comfortableness and the beauty of this place was what we needed to make the perfect end. And without lying, we can say that this was of all the 60+ guesthouses the one we felt at home. Nuestra Casa was our casa. And we dream of going back there one day.

Spacious, friendly, picturesque little guesthouse. Went for Calabash, and it's just a five minute ride from Jakes, which is close to perfect. Roger was knowledgeable and engaging. His tips were useful when we took them and proved correct when we didn't. Honest prices, lovely breakfast and good homey feeling. Only down side is the property tiring with time. Also, could use some mesh on the windows to keep the bugs out at night. Minor details, though. Overall a very good stay.

Stayed here in Feb. 2014, sorry for the delay but we had WINTER in Canada this year and we are still thawing out! Stayed here and would say it is a delightful and friendly place. Roger is a charming gentleman who has provided a lovely home. We asked for a bug net and he supplied it!
The breakfast was great, rates were very good, best in the area for sure. The beach is spectacular, private, see someone on the beach? just walk to the next one. BRiNg a beach umbrella, no protection from sun, obey beach signs, regarding undertow and you will have no problems. Amazing property, totally safe area, walked at nite and felt perfectly safe. No safe or fridge in room ( Roger's prices on cold beer are great) Walked to Jack Spratt, 3 nites, other interesting places within walking distance. Absolutely the best deal in Jamaica. don't miss it.
Roger can arrange for pick up from airport etc. very reasonable. He knows Jamaica, he will recommend and arrange things according to your interests. Thanks Roger and staff!

Room Tip: I think any room would be great, ask for bug net!

I was corrected sternly by Anika ( the Chef ) at Nuestra Casa, that the one mistake not to make is to leave off the apostrophe 's' . So, my first advice to you is - be careful, do not leave off that 's, when you refer to Billy's Bay, the location of Nuestra Casa.

Beyond that, your stay at Nuesta Casa will be unforgettable: Rodger the owner, and host extraordinaire, will see to that. I was delighted with the service provided by Roger and his staff: the chef Anika, and Rodger's assistant, Jeremy. Who by the way, is also a fisherman, musician, and magician. I watched him entertained the kids with his magic tricks and found it, amazing.

The food at Nuestra Casa ( Our House ), was mouth watering. And, done to your specific request. Down to the cup of coffee, I spoil myself on at any time I choose, before breakfast.

The rooms were well kept, clean, and well lit.

The gazebo on the roof, offered a view of the beach that was second to none - my cares just melted away, as a laid there looking out to sea. The beach itself, is just across the way.

I will be going to Calabash Literary Festival, the next time it is held. I will be staying at Nuestra Casa. In fact, I will make my booking from now. I will stay no place else.

Room Tip: Rooms next to the living room were quite convenient.

Our 2nd time at Nuestra Casa, could it be as good as the first? Yes it was. Beautiful location, wonderful staff with Aneka, Oshane, Jeremy and Kanute, Great breakfasts! Billy's bay is a friendly community with amazing people. We ate some really good food at the Likkle Diamond Cook Shop which now stays open till 9pm in the season so a very good option for evening eating as an alternative to Strikey T's, which is still going strong. Thank you once again Roger, Lillian and the team for making our holiday magic, we left our troubles way behind to be replaced by peace and tranquillity for 2 weeks. Treasure Beach is a very special place with equally special people. Long may it remain so.

we were really looking forward to staying at Nuestra Casa after what we had read about it - we had booked it months in advance because of this - but when we arrived we found there was no hot water in the shower,no mosquito nets on the windows or doors and if we wanted to use the fridge and kitchen facilities in the apartment we had to pay an extra $20US per day - we weren't told any of this when we booked or when we arrived - we were woken up the first morning at 4 a.m. by mosquitos - when my wife spoke to Roger the owner about this he was quite rude and abrupt - not the genial host we had been led to believe - he did admit that he had known about the broken shower for several days - eventually he agreed to move us to Moy's place which was just up the road - he has an arrangement with Moy that if he is full she takes his surplus guests - her place was lovely and why he didn't refer us to her place when we arrived we don't know - there were vacancies there.

Room Tip: separate apartment is best if shower works and mosquito nets are put on windows and doors
