On a family trip to the northeast part of Puerto Rico, we came across this charming little restaurant. The food was excellent and gave us a taste of true Puerto Rican quisine. The owner was incredibly gracious and welcoming. I think it's a family owned business - my husband and I always try and support small local owned businesses. It was easy to order at El Rincon because the menus are both in English and Spanish, and the owner and his staff also speak English, which was very helpful for our kids. We discovered it when stepping into a gift shop one afternoon after spending the morning in the rain forest. It is connected to the gift shop and provides this quaint, exclusive atmosphere as if only those who know where to find the place get to enjoy it. We didn't need to wait long for a table, as we were eating dinner a little early, but the restaurant filled up quickly towards the end of our time there. We plan to go back again next time we're in Puerto Rico.
