“Expensive!”
Reviewed 4 January 2014

Mofongo was terrible, service was slow even though it was empty, and we paid almost $70 for dinner for 4 people!

“Overpriced bad paella, charged to share food!”
Reviewed 5 April 2013

Waitress was nice, got a complementary appetizer (some sort of fried plantains with meat which was pretty good) but worst thing was we got charged $3 for sharing a dish (who does that??)!! We walked in and said we weren't that hungry and we just wanted to share a dish and owner said that was fine, wasn't warned by this surcharge. Ordered the paella which was recommended by owner....wasn't good, frozen veggies, had better in michigan! Tasted worse because it was overpriced. Not sure what type of restaurant the owner was going for, because there were loud drunk guys coming in for a drink, yet decorated for a semi-fancy restaurant. Long wait as well. Ice cream afterwards across the street was delicious though!
Only reason I ate here was because it was late and I got lost trying to find the first restaurant I wanted. Advice, skip this!

“High Hopes Dashed”
Reviewed 19 February 2013

In my last review I had said I thought this place would improve - WRONG. The server was charming and the owner chatty, but those are the only 2 nice things I can say about this restuarant. The service was slow and the food was just awful. We won't be going back.

“High prices for frozen prepared food, long waits and bad service.”
Reviewed 13 February 2013

Tried this place on a whim. We were given a server who we met once and then we were taken care of the rest of the time by a chatty owner(?). I ordered a mojito and got a glass of rum with mojito mix. It tasted just like mint mouthwash. They were nice enough to take it off our check, but then the owner(?) came and apologized and commented on how mix just isnt as good as the real thing (she recommended the mojito). Then we ordered paella to share and two sides, mofongo and sauteed veggies. The food took forever to get to us, the bartender apologized right before it came out. The table behind us also commented to the owner(?) about whether the wait was the norm. The paella was a mix or just awful but it had veggies in it that look the same as frozen veggies you buy at the grocery. The sauteed veggies were dripping in salty goo and the mofongo was so dry. I would not recommend nor return for a cheesy attempt at carribean fine dining.

“Overpriced for the type of restaurent”
Reviewed 10 February 2013

The menu was overpriced, in fact it was the most expensive restaurent we found in Luquillo, we ended up having a chicken cesar salad which was OK and a soup ($6 for a soup). The server was good. I would not return
