Judging from menu and revisions many will have a good experience here. I had spinach ravioli with a nut sauce with small pieces of meat. It had potential but the walnuts tasted old. I cannot believe that a serious cook would let this go through if he had tasted it himself. The Small portions is ok for the price and gives you room for the desert. Its not pricy which may also explain the - hopefully accidental - awful-tasting walnuts...

We couldnt even get in! According to their sign they open at 1pm on Mondays, but while we were waiting since we arrived at 12.40, a man came out and rudely said they were not going to serve lunch today. Then a girl came out and contradicted him, saying they will open but much later, like around 1. I pointed out that it was almost 1, so she very rudely said that we could do whatever we wanted. So, of course, we left.

Food was average to good, but not value for money. Possibly trying to be upmarket and not quite getting there. I ate tastier food with more attentive service in the centre of town where taxi and bus drivers ate.

This is quite simply the best restaurant in Mancora... by a country mile. It might be the best restaurant in Peru, outside of Chiclayo (La Fiesta), and Lima.
It is embarrassingly cheap at lunch. The set menu is fantastic and the Japanese tiradito was an explosion of flavour.
I would have eaten here every day but we were visiting over Christmas and the family run restaurant clearly wanted a well earned rest.
I advise you to visit at the first opportunity. Delicious

Had the Nikkei Tiradito. Seasoned with sesame oil, it was very delicious, and tasted light and fresh.
Also had the Tuna Passion, which was tuna steak (medium doneness) with a passionfruit sauce. Some places do the passionfruit sauce with way too much sweetness, but this was very delicious without being overdone. Would not have visited this place if not for the recommendation
