We stayed at the beach and ate here almost every day. The food was fresh, the service was great and it was very welcoming. I would recommend the garlic prawns or shrimp, the fish soups, and the fresh snapper. A couple of the waiters can speak some English and will recommend drinks and food. One waiter who will really look after you is Freddy. There are other restaurants in the area that are fine, but Sharks seems to offer a bit more in overall atmosphere. Even though they just raised their prices, it is very inexpensive to spend a day here at the good exchange rate. We had eight people (5 adults/3 kids) drinking beers and rums and frescolitas during the day with a huge dinner plate each at the end of the day all costing an average of $50.00 - $60.00. I think our highest day, with a lot of drinking and the most expensive dinner options, was still only around $70.00 for eight of us.

While staying in El Yaque we ate at Sharks at least four times.
At first we felt in love with that place: food was awesome (best prawns in garlic I've ever eaten with well fired yuca or really tastey king fish) there was also english speaking waiter (Cristian) friendly and helpfull whith choosing your meal. But unfortunately after two days Cristian dissapeared and everything changed for bad. We had to wait at least 20min for waiter to came to the table, waiters messed up orders so few times we received different drinks than we ordered, but worst of all food that we received was sinking in some dark yoellow, dense liquid, tasteing like old oil. And prepering everything took ages. Last time we were there took a plate of shrimps for one person, 3 beers and 2 drinks - we spent over an hour waiting for waiter, than for beer than for drinks (which btw were messed up) than for meal. We left restaurant really dissapointed.
To summarise, if you'r lucky you can eat really good seafood there, but you may not.

I have spent 28 days in El Yaque - windsurf vacation. Every day we started our day at Shark's, having a great loooong breakfast. For 80 Bolivars (approx. 4$ in Feb13) you can can have various choice of fruits, eggs, juices, ham&cheese, arepas, pancakes.... All that with great sea view.. Having dinner or lunch is great as well. Anyhow, I strongly recommend.

Best food in the neighbourhood, also pricewise. I have tried all the restaurants around but ended coming back to this one. Yummy!
