Wednesday morning at 7:30 is the best time to visit the markets. The air is still fresh and crisp with not too many people abroad. This is the day and time that the locals emerge to buy wonderful breads, olives, flowers, spices, fruit and vegetables. Then on to the wooden toys, paintings, clothing, jewellery, hats and shoes. The "old" markets are the place for fresh produce and interesting hand mades. Organise to stay at least one night locally. There are plenty of interesting shops to explore and places to eat. The short drive to Noosa [less than 30 minutes], with its lovely beach and Hasting Street shopping, makes Eumundi a great alternative when planning a holiday.

The market was fantastic. Crowded yes but you could see from all the cars on the streets what to expect. There was a food stall selling vegan dumpling type things- try them!!! Im not vegan but these sounded great and tasted fantastic. Had to go back and get more. Only thing was, toilets were quite tricky to locate and they spread over a large area so very few, and far between would sum that up.

Entertaining Day out from Noosa. Spent most of the day wandering through this large market and enjoyed it. Lots of food choices. Lots of merchandise to chose from as well as friendly vendors. Parking is reasonably priced and easy enough. Go early and avoid the herd....

I had been once before but didn't remember how great these markets were. I am not normally a market loved, but this isn't your typical market and I loved it. We easily filled in a few hours looking at all the goods. There is a lot of really good products that are high quality, unique and well priced. The fresh fruit is definitely worth purchasing, and I had the best gluten free chocolate brownie. A must for a day out.

Eumundai Markets are very large and very busy. There are a lot of stalls offering the same sort of products, 10 years ago they were excellent markets with handmade products and unique ideas they seem to have become far more commercial - I didn't really see anything I haven't seen elsewhere. The Gonzamle near the centre of the markets are the best we've eaten. There were two older gentleman playing guitars and singing slim dusty songs they were entertaining and created great atmosphere. Go early and avoid the crowds, parking can be tricky if you don't wish to pay, but we only had to circle the town once to find a park, there are people coming and going all the time.
