“Rippenvale Magic”
Reviewed 13 August 2012

I had not been to Rippinvale for a few years and decided to go back in July. As usual, our hosts were fantastic as was the accommodation. The breakfasts are to die for but make sure you are wearing loose clothing because Helen loves to cook. Rippinvale is tucked away from the bustle but is only 1 minute from the center of town. I cant say enough about this fantastic little gem. Thanks guys.

Room Tip: There are only 2 rooms, bookings essential.

I booked the winter retreat package for a night away and to celebrate our anniversary.
It was just perfect! Helen massage was amazing and just melted the stress right away - definitely one of the best I have had in a while.
The biggest thing was the food! It was just impeccable! From the brownie on arrival to the homemade bread for breakfast.
The most thing the stood out though was the attention to detail. Every little thing was thought of and done without you even knowing. It was just perfect coming back from a meal out and having your room turned down for you.
The grounds were really well kept and looked stunning. Not to mention the amazing view of the mountains.

All in all a perfect night away just what we needed. Thank you so muh Helen we defentily will be coming back :)

We had two nights at Rippinvale and enjoyed every moment of it. John and Helen were warm and inviting and gave us plenty of privacy, while still looking after completely. Breakfast was awesome with everything being homemade from the breads to the jams and the cooked breakfasts, the attention to detail is what sets it apart from anywhere else. The evening nibbles of mulled wine and homemade cheeses was a real treat. The rooms themselves are spacious with having a lounge of the bedroom a wonderful bonus in a B&B.Anyone looking for private and quiet and close to town we would highly recommend this wonderful accommodation.Thank you very much Helen and John

Helen & John have created a delightful haven for people escaping their busy lives for awhile. Gourmet breakfasts; quiet surroundings & great service makes this a place we would recommend without hesitation. The local wines & nibbles were a real treat that capped off a wonderful experience.

Room Tip: No issues here - we have stayed in both rooms and they are both lovely

Me and my partner booked a night at Rippinvale Retreat in Hanmer Springs.. We wanted to stay somewhere more special than the normal studio hotel room... Rippinvale Retreat was amazing with our own private spa bath, massages, lovely warm room, and treats like home baked chocolate brownie we felt very much at home and very well looked after. Included in the package was breakfast which was absolutely amazing home baked bread, homemade jams, butter and yogurt, fresh fruits and porridge followed by pancakes, bacon and maple syrup. I will be sure to rebook here in Hanmer, thank you Helen and John!

We have just returned home from a night away at Rippenvale Retreat. This is our third stay, and it was as wonderful as the first and second times. From the home made chocolate chip biscuits when we arrived to the wine and nibbles before going to dinner and then the most wonderful breakfast this morning, Helen and John always make our stay special. We are looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Helen and John, looking forward to catching up with you again soon.
