What a wonderful dining experience for two dedicated foodies ! The setting of this lovely restaurant is cosy and unpretentious as is the fabulous food cooked by chef Micheal van De Wiel. The menu is underlined by fresh local produce cooked and presented imaginatively in generous portions.
We sat by a roaring fire, and even though there were other diners it felt quite intimate. Service was friendly, efficient and attentive.
You can tell that a good chef is at the helm when your scallops are cooked perfectly, the lamb is perfect pink and the good quality produce is allowed to speak for itself, And... of course the chocolate fondant is as oozey as only a perfect fondant should be.
