After landing in Christchurch, picking up the hire car and then an hour and a half drive we arrived at greenacres tired and jet lagged. The owner could not have been more helpful, checked us in early and suggested going down to the thermal springs which we did. Wow, what an experience, hamner in the winter, snow topped mountains and sitting for a couple of hours in hot springs.
Our chalet was excellent value for money, very clean, with all cooking facilities and once it warmed through, was very cosy. Highly recommended.

Booked for 1 night for birthday celebration for a couple and was upgraded to Villa No 14. Whilst built in the 80's and still adorning this décor, it was in remarkable condition, very clean and comfortable. Bed was wonderful and room quiet. A great layout, extremely spacious and boasting the best view in Hanmer - we sat outside on the deck eating pizza and drinking wine in mid July and soaking up the atmosphere. Covered parking provided - this would easily accommodate a family of 5.
Our hostess Victoria was magic and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was memorable.
Thank you Victoria for your hospitality - we will definitely be back.

Room Tip: 2 bedroomed unit - 1 double and x2 singles with extra bed on landing in living area

Spacious chalets, very clean. Our hosts were just brilliant! Nothing was too much trouble at all. Well positioned for stunning views, nice and close to the Conical Hill walking tracks and just far enough from the town centre for peace, quiet and relaxation.

Great location just 5 mins from town in a very quiet area. The lodge was clean and had everything required, but was very dated (1980s ?) and in desperate need of an update. A bit of a mix up with breakfast (booked but not registered on their system) so a continental was delivered to us the night before (owner away the next day!). Think that a full breakfast was booked but never mind....it did matter, though, when I found my credit card had been charged for the breakfast despite being prepaid. It took a phone call to get the refund.

We stayed in Chalet 9, for one night. it was nice and it was clean, and had all the facilities needed, peaceful. There was 2 single beds in 1 room, a double in another and perhaps a bit strange 2 singles in the living area. I'd stay there again though.

We stayed 2 nights and were impressed with the facilities, the roomy chalets and the very friendly service. Location is perfect, just up the hill from the town and offering great views. It was lovely watching the children play on the gorgeous green lawn while we had a glass of wine on the balcony. And what a wonderful surprise to come home after a day at the hot pools and jet boating to find the room had been serviced. We just weren't expecting that for the price. Such value for money and such great service. Wished we stayed a week.
