I really loved it here the kids hoped on the slides and had an awesome time while mum and dad sat in the hot pools. There was something for everyone and the view was amazing. You could easily spend all day here and have a great time.

Coming to this little slice of heaven mid-week in winter meant that our little get away was at a much quieter time than our usual summer weekend visits - much quieter and felt more "exclusive" and laid back.
A back and shoulders massage at the spa was heaven - the spa is a totally sensory experience and you really feel pampered from the moment you are greeted at the front desk. A soak in the water sensations pools topped off the experience.
Great shopping deals - winter sales - finished off the afternoon in the township.... Loved it - if you can get here midweek you will also find it much quieter and "personal" too (but it is still awesome at the weekend - you just have to share it with more people :) )

I have been to Hanmer Springs Hot pools lots of times and each time i go they are updating and making the experience better and more enjoyable for the whole family. I went last weekend and the changing rooms are being updated to under floor heating which will be nice and the range of pools over the years have increased to cater for a large range of temperatures from 28 through to 42 degrees. They have pools just for adults and a great area for kids and families with small slides and spraying water and climbing frames etc... through to big hydro slides which are great fun. Can be a wee bit cold standing waiting for your go when it is -2 but it makes you appreciate the 28 degree water when you get back in.

The views are fantastic and it is even better when there is snow on the mountains around you and you are nice an warm in a pool. The price is very fair at $20 and you can spend all day there if you wanted to or you can get a return pass and come back in the evening or a two day pass. The choice is yours!

If you are driving through the Lewis pass it is worth stopping off for an hour or two and having lunch in this great little village or even better stop for the night. there are lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from.

Having never been to a natural spring before I was fascinated by Hamner Springs . It was a relaxing experience despite the smell but relaxing all the same. Hamnwr itself is a quaint little place with lots of character well worth a visit .

Spent an awesome afternoon at the springs, huge variety of pools, and just as much to keep the kids busy. Fantastic value at only $55 for 2 adults & 2 kids, and you could easily stay the day (weather dependent). Neat & clean all round.
