We were a family of five staying in a Family room. It is a beautiful and very spacious room with beds upstairs(double decker for kids partially separated with curtains) and well equipped kitchen and small lounge area downstairs. The view from the balcony overlooking the Bay and nearby islands and swimming pool downstairs is amazing. Also the plants and surroundings of the hotel add to a tropical paradise feeling.
We were very impressed with the friendliness and service at the hotel. The food was lovely and the kids especially enjoyed the breakfast with Nutella flapjacks. Also the view and set up by windows of all tables in the dining room added to the dining experience. The jetty is close by the hotel and so are the bus stops. The managers personally took us to the jetty on departure. Chalets Cote de Mer is excellent value for money for a bigger family and exceeded our expectations in all aspects.

Although we've stayed in luxury resorts in other destinations, we tend to find them a bit on the impersonal side. In the Seychelles, they are also extremely expensive with prices for the better resorts starting around €500/ €600 per night for B&B. Therefore, we decided to opt for a more reasonably priced alternative which offered a comfortable apartment with sea views in a more family-run ambience.
Chalets Cote Mer did not disappoint and, in some areas, actually exceeded our expectations. The
hotel was conveniently located close to the ferries servicing Mahe and La Digue as well as boats and yachts that provide day trips and excursions to the smaller islands. It actually took a brief 5 minutes walk, without luggage. Our accommodation was a split level duplex apartment offering a spacious bedroom and bathroom on one level and a kitchen/ dining/ living room with a balcony offering great sea views one the other level. The room was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Our apartment rate, €180 a night, also included breakfast. Served in the superbly located restaurant, literally built over the sea, breakfast was abundant and consisted of a choice of eggs, toast with about 6 freshly made jams, fresh fruit, croissants, coffee or tea. The first night we also had dinner in the hotel and were surprised by the quality and relatively cheap cost (€20) . Each night, following the starter, a different choice of fish or meat was available. We soon discovered how expensive other restaurants on the island were, without the accompanying quality and view, so ended up having dinner most nights in the hotel. Liz and Jack, a very friendly Philippine couple, provided great service as did the rest of the staff we encountered. We would also like to thank the owners, Sylvie and Stefan, for the excellent welcome and service they provided. Ever present they were always willing to offer good advice or just stop for a pleasant chat. They definitely have a passion for what they are doing which is reflected in the overall experience and in their staff. We didn't use the pool facilities ( small pool) nor swim in the sea in front of the hotel as we preferred touring the island, swimming in a different beach every day. A hire car is essential to get around and see the island in comfort.
In conclusion, this was not a 5 star resort but had the facilities we were expecting and the value for money, especially the food, was very good. It's just what we wanted and were we to return to Praslin we'd be heading right back to Chalets Cote Mer.

I recommend this hotel for honeymooners, romantic view, the owner of the hotel is a very professional person, I just made a complain and he tried his best to solve the problem, their food is amazing, now my first night here, so far so good, all what you need is a fine cigar and cup of whiskey at night on their balcony and I guarantee you will live the promised heaven ;)

A lovely small hotel. The room was large and clean and had great views over the sea to La Digue. The Infinity pool is great and the breckfast though limited was enough and very well presented and the staff are great. There are steps down into the sea from the pool area and snorkeling is possible and we saw a few fish. Its very close to the Jetty and we were provided with a transfer to the Jetty when we left.
The hotel is fairly remote and there is not much in Baie Ste Anne. You should really hire a car if staying here. There are plenty of beautiful beaches on Praslin to visit. Hire Cars are relatively cheap. I paid Euro 40 a day for a small hatchback arranged by the hotel. There is a local bus service but it is irregular, crowded and looked very hot. Taxis are expensive.

it was a lovely place. it's built into the hillside so there is a lot of up and down the stairs to get to the restaurant for breakfast or to go to the little infinity pool which was quite nice. The views are good. You can see the jetty and the ferries coming and going. We did the bed and breakfast only but we ended up having dinner there every night anyway. They have a two choice menu for dinner and we'd tell them in the morning what we wanted. good food every time. Staff was lovely. room was lovely. will definitely go back

Room Tip: think all the rooms have a view.
