Spent two nights at L'archipel for the second time and i have to say this hotel still amazing, the rooms have nicely been refurbished and the service is still at it's highest. We had dinner the two nights in the hotel restaurant and you really feel like you eating in a top michelin starred restaurant! The hotel itself is very well maintained with a beautiful pool. The beach is really nice and very clean (no seaweed).
I would higly recommend this hotel to anyone that would like to spend a nice and relaxing stay on Praslin.

Room Tip: If you go to this hotel, take a room with the dinner included, it is really worth it.

On a short break from Dubai, we decided to visit Seychelles in April 2009.
Praslin was the best choice for us as it features 2 of the most beautiful beaches on the planet: Anse Georgette and Anse Lazio as well as a gorgeous golf course (Lemuria).
We, at first, selected La Villa Mille Etoile in order to accomodate 2 couples and two singles.
However, arriving on site, 2 people were disappointed to see that access to the villa was a mere 250 m from main hotel on a very steep road.
Nevertheless, hotel management offered a very good deal on standard rooms in order to accommodate our demanding friends.
Villa was absolutely great, but rooms (private chalets overlooking Anse Gouvernement) were amazing! hidden in the middle of a lush green environment full of frangipane and flam trees, it is jaw dropping. Of course, birds are noisy in the morning, of course bugs are everywhere in this biotop, but this is Seychelles as anyone can dream about it!
Breakfast was simple though enjoyable and we had most of our lunches-dinners outside.
Service was perfect and staff super friendly.
Anse Gouvernement is not, by far, the best beach on Praslin, but with mask and fins, it's already possible to discover Indian Ocean's fauna.
We rented small cars to visit the Island (including La Vallee de Mai and its Black Parrots).
Great great place to stay!

My husband and I celebrated my Birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary here. We were upgraded to an eight room suite! It even had two bathrooms. There were fabulous tropical flowers everywhere, and the view from our balcony was amazing. Very quiet place, but very relaxing.

Myself Gustave & my fiancee Rannia, are both still talking about the memorable weekend (28th-30th September 2012) we just spent at the magnificent L'Archipel Hotel...2 days on! From arrival until our departure, we met a team of super friendly, courteous, efficient & professional staff, namely from Guest Services/Reception, Restaurant & Housekeeping! The food was delicious & of very high standard...definitely exceeding our expectations! Our villas, 'Poivre' & 'Coetivy' were very spacious & equipped with all the standard ammenities required for an enjoyable stay in comfort! Must add that the sea view from the villas was simply wooooooooow! Note that we switched villas on Saturday 29th September coz guests staying in 'Poivre' had expressed their wish to be accommodated there upon their return on Sunday 30th...and we wanted to have a late check-out, so the staff members did the smooth & hassle-free villa change from 'Poivre' to 'Coetivy' on Saturday afternoon, much to our delight! We were also impressed with the level of cleanliness around the hotel grounds. We will definitely be returning & hopefully, the second time round, we'll spend a longer time in this little corner of paradise!

Room Tip: For couples with no health complications, the hillside villas are a must especially with their amazing sea view! For older guests or families with children, we suggest the beach villas are reserved!

We had a fantastic time throughout our stay at L'Archipel the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be attentive and make our stay as relaxing as possible. The room was spacious and clean and afforded a fantastic sea view.

The breakfast was enjoyable eating out on the beach however you did have to avoid the birds who were ready to finish up any leftovers! We particularly enjoyed an excursion organised via the hotel which was one of our best days visiting 3 neighbouring islands (Cousin, Couriuse and St Pierre), complete with guided tours and an amazing BBQ which was also much cheaper than the local travel company tour.

Our only criticism was that the drinks/food on offer at the hotel were a quite expensive (about 30% more that you'd expect to pay in the UK) however the service and location certainly outweighed this. We'd recommend going bed and breakfast over half board as some of the local restaurants offer free transfers for evening meals and some are quite a bit cheaper than the a la carte in the hotel.

The location of the hotel is perfect for those in search of a quiet retreat, with no neighbouring hotels. The nearest village is only a 30 mins walk along a beautiful, empty white sandy beach. Overall we'd definitely recommend a visit to L'archipel, it is in a unique private location with excellent and friendly staff.
