Stayed at the hotel as a couple for 5 days in August and we absolutely loved it. We needed relaxation more than anything for our holidays, and the hotel offered us that to the maximum. Our room had a great unobstructed sea view (No.100), giving us the opportunity to have relaxing and beautiful late afternoons by our terrace watching the beautiful beach of Kalo Livadi.
The room was cleaned on a daily basis, and the overall cleaning service at the hotel was perfect.
All the staff were great, very commited to their duties, helpful, and in general very professional. We thank especially Achilleas the very skilled bar tender, for preparing for us delicious cocktails - you should definetely ask for his award winning whisky cocktail, I do not like whicky in general but you will love this one! It is very rare that we would trust a bar tender to let him prepare us a drink without knowing what we will get, but we can say with confidence that all the times drinks were a sucess! He is also a great guy in general to have chats by his bar giving you tips about the island ! Totaly recommended! Also, Michalis, the spa therapist, is a very frendly skilled young professional, who has a great passion for what he is doing - definetely worths a treat to yourself!
We didnt have a car, and in general we didnt really need it as we mostly spent our time at the hotel. The newly renovated space of the hotel, gives to the visitor a feeling of being in a small village with the picturesque little church, the gardens and the little streets. We had a nice evening walk to Kalafatis, which is only 15min walk, and had a delicious dinner but Petrino restaurant. A good family owned restaurant by Kalafatis beach. Taxis are indeed very hard to get, but the one night we got into town of Mykonos, we were lucky enough to get a lift back by a local - which we paid of course, but we didnt have to wait endlesly at 6.00am by the taxi station for a taxi to come.
Food was also delicious at all times, although breakfast was our best! All the catering staff were again great! - especially Maria!
In general, a great hotel, with great facilities, services and staff that offered us an amazing time on the island.

Our family of 4 (children aged 12 and 14) loved our first 4 days at Archipelogos so much, we returned for one last night after our week on a Yacht! From front desk (the smiling Victoria) to poolside Bar (thanks for always remembering ice with my wine, Achilles) to Janis the skiing Chef, and the chatty Apostoles and Michaelis - the approachability of the staff could not be bettered. The hotel's interior design is modern and elegant, location superb and peaceful, by Mykonos standards, and pool perfect (Beware those seeking romantic escape, this is such a friendly hotel the majority were couples with babies and children ).

As in any hotel, there are things to improve (a broader, changing food menu to make the most of Janis' talents, less electric music pumping from the bar (just turn it off for a couple of hours would be my suggestion!), perhaps quicker service sometimes (hey, this is Greece - chill out!) BUT these are personal suggestions and in no way hampered our warm feelings towards this family friendly hotel.

We tried the beach - Kalo Livadi - but it was packed with sunbeds (to rent) from one end to the other (8 deep from edge of sea to fence backing onto car park) from 11am-6pm and people selling everything from donuts, to fake branded handbags and tee shirts. Blackpool without the arcade and with sun - horrendous.

Thanks to all at Archipelagos- we will be back! Megan, James, Nathan and Emily

Since we had such a good time at the Archipelagos, I just agree with most of those, who dropped a 5*-rating in almost every category before! Great place to stay; run by friendly and obliging people, clean and cultivated ... so?!

Our family of 4 - including 8 and 5 year old absolutely loved Archipelagos. The hotel is stylish, modern, with great personal attention. We loved both our room, and the small patio area. The views from our room, patio, and from it seems the entire hotel to the bay are gorgeous. The service was excellent. They had a surprise baklava for my wife on our arrival and quickly brought dinner to our room, and helped take care of our transportation needs on the island, the tour to Delos, etc... Our daughter didn't want to leave the pool, even though a superb family friendly Kalo Livadi beach is a short 5-10 minute walk away. There is even a small play area for children on the grounds. If you want to go Mykonos, but want a great hotel in a peaceful location, this is absolutely the place.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The location is beautiful. Kalo Livadi beach is one of the best on the island and only 5 min away. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Very good quality of the products. Our room had a view to the sea and was very nice decorated and clean. Thank you all. We will come again!!

Me and my girlfriend visited recently for 11 nights, we're both in our mid-twenties and were looking for a relaxing holiday with the option of exploring the island.

Firstly, the hotel is great. The place is amazing, the restaurant and bar were superb, the pool was nice, the room was very good and the location was ideal (out of the way from the parties but only 15 minutes away if you want them).

The staff in particular were fantastic. Achilles at the bar makes seriously great cocktails, I'd go as far as saying to let him pick the cocktail for you. Yannis the chef is so passionate about his food, he lets you go into the kitchen to see how he prepares your meals and show you the ingredients he uses. Everyone else was so hard working and so eager to make sure you were enjoying your visit it really made us feel welcome.

The Island is lovely. There are tons of beaches (some require you to reserve beds in advance), Kalifatis beach and Sostis beach was very nice. The restaurants in Kalifatis were great, Aquarius in particular. We recommend exploring the town of Mykonos, we spent a lot of time their enjoying the great restaurants and bars. I highly recommend Bakalo, the food was amazing and the cocktails at Scarpa in Little Venice are great.

The only downside to town is how busy it is, getting out of that place can be manic, especially as taxis are hard to come by. There's only 30 or so on the island so beware. Luckily the hotel runs a shuttle service to drop and collect people twice a day which is free. We also arranged the shuttle with the hotel to collect us from the airport (roughly €10 per person). We highly recommend this.

If you want to rent a car/bike, do it through the hotel to ensure you don't overpay. We rented a jeep for 3 days at €90 per day which we thought was fair considering it was peak season. There isn't a great deal on the island to explore, but by having a car you get access to all the beaches and the town whenever you want. We'd recommend driving up to the old abandoned lighthouse if you like taking photos, its pretty cool.

All of the restaurants, bars, beaches and sights were recommended to people from the hotel. Achilles (the bar tender) recommended most of the places and he was spot on with every time.

To sum it up, we loved this hotel and this holiday. We could relax by the pool when wanted, have a nice meal at the restaurant and enjoy cocktails at the bar or drive around the island and explore.

We'd definitely go back.

Everything is expensive at Mykonos, so difficult to gauge Archipelagos versus competition. Rooms were large and nicely refurbished, with superb balcony and large terraces or pergolas overlooking the magnificent bay of Kalo Livadi. Stylish equipment. Design swimming pool. Excellent breakfast (perhaps a real fresh orance juice would be appreciated). You definitely need a car to stay at Archipelagos (my view of course). But there is no large resort with swimming pool and walking distance from a beach ifyou want to stay at Mykonos City (referred as Chora) so it is not a strong disadvantage to stay at Archipelagos, 15mn by car to Chora.
Kalo Livadi is probably not the hottest spot of Mykonos, but it has been recommended to us by Greek friends and this is a family-friendly area. 600 meters to the beach of Kalo Livadi.
A charming boutique hotel with movely gardens, that definitely merits its belonging to the Small Leadinh Hotels of the World.
Easy for families and young kids with communicating rooms

Room Tip: Ask for large terraces as some rooms benefit from very large ones (we were in rooms 321 ad 322 and r...
