We went to the Pregnant Maiden Lake as a part of the Islands hopping tour. It was a very peaceful place and extremely beautiful, we took one of the paddling boats which were very cosy, we stayed there for almost an hour and I don't think you should stay longer than that since there's not much to do other than paddling.

I visited the Dayang Bunting lake and had a great swim. It was clean and the water will be warm or cold depending on the weather, definitely a good place for a swim.

Overall worth a visit, try not to bring food as there are wild monkeys. :-)

The Island Hopping Tour, which took us to this island, was itself a vdry good experience. After getting off the speedboat, the short climb to the lake is infested with monkeys who attack you even if you're not carrying any food. The lake itself is calm and peaceful. Though people do swim in the lake, it appeared rather deep. There are no life guards around, as a sign board says.

We came to this as part of the island hopping tour. There are boards on the island that explains how a freshwater lake was formed on the island.

Once you arrive at the Jetty there is a 25 minute walk and some set of steps to descend before you arrive at the lake. There is a tropical rainforest where you will see wild monkeys.

There is a platform on the lake with a designated area for the little ones to paddle about and an area where the adults can jump in. The lake is deep so its not suitable for kids so make sure they stay at the designated part.

Alternatively you can hire small boats to take a wander around the lake or get to the narrow strip of beach at the other end.

We just had a little swim around and got some snacks from the local shop before we made our way back, not before the monkeys started to play up though.

I was on an island hoping trip. And we were given only one hr at this place.

Despite the fact that there's just too many wild monleys around (which would snatch any food that's in your hands), the ten minutes walk from the jetty to the fresh water bay was indeed a satisfying one. We were greeted by a huge platform where visitors could park their items and jump in to the 30 feet deep bay.

I love it there! Surrounded by lushes forests, it's still surprisingly peaceful though there's so many people there.

I don't mind spending more than one hr there. I love the serenity of the place. Just remember to keep your food in the bags and zip up! Or else you'll have a tail of monkeys following you from the back.. ;)

Cheers.
