Excellent room. Breakfast disapointing - dining room could do with a good clean and fresh tablecloth every day. No vegetarian other than eggs on offer. Hospitality good. Not the best value for money. Surprised they have a 4 star rating!

The B&B is located in a charming cottage with an authentic atmosphere. The rooms and their bathrooms are small but up to date (although at one bathroom, the ceiling is that low that showering is not possible). And one room on the first floor has very steep and small stairs and is not suited for all. There is free Wifi.
The owner adds a typical flavor to your stay. We did not get a handshake at our arrival as he was in the perception we arrived too late. There was also a very clear opinion about what to visit and what not. And the ball given to the kids for playing with the dogs was taken away with rather strong words.....
Breakfast was cooked following the preferences given. Typical was that on one occasion, we got some non-fresh fruit salad that was presented as extra (normally, fruit was an apple of mandarine) and what appeared to be left over from the owner dinner the evening before.

Six of us, three couples, stayed here to break up a long journey home from France. The farmhouse is one hour away from the eurotunnel port.
Our rooms were all twin, with ensuite bath or shower rooms, and very clean and comfortable. The local pub was a short stroll away and the owners booked a table for us. The food there delicious and good value.
We were greeted with homemade scones, homemade jam and clotted cream, and a very friendly dog, we like dogs!
The breakfast was flexible, to our timetable, and truly delicious. Scrambled eggs from the owners' hens, doesn't come much fresher than that. Our vegetarians very well catered for. The carnivores enjoyed their choices too, which had been made the night before for a personal menu. The mushroom I was served was probably one of the tastiest I have ever eaten.
Thank you to our excellent hosts.

Without a stop at this excellent B&B. Wonderful breakfast, gracious hospitality, cozy rooms. Expect a warm welcome from owners, Nick and Ginny. Highly recommend. Easy access to many local historical sites and gardens.

A real family welcome and what a lovely stay, definitely coming back. Another Charcott breakfast really needed. GPS needed to find it but seriously worth the effort. A lovely old fashioned English country cottage but warm and comfortable and beautifully modernised. Can't fault.
