“Not worth too stay”
Reviewed 28 July 2013 via mobile

Visited on X Mas day Dec 2010.
We 3 have read review from advisor b4: Still my 2 females friends insisted too booked a cheaper place with closed too beach and Nightlife action. So i chose here and b warnned them earlier. 1500Thb for 1 nights 3 guys So it should say only 500 THb per person which is gud deals.

It turn out a crappy places for stay.
Resort is settled behind Silver sand hotel on a muddy unflat hill slope road. No towel in room.We have been told by owner too paid extra 100 Thb deposit for dirty smell towel. Room Master keys seems broken likewised room door. I ve read reviewed that there always a thief break in the hotel broken door too be stolen guests stuff .So i bring along myself own Master key instead of using hotel rusty broken one.

No breakfast included.Main bedroom is full of crawling ants. Sand everywheres both in main bedroom and toilet. I guests they never cleaned those things that the previous guests had left. TV is locked on with a hand-made old steel box embeded topped on the room ceiling.TV battery remote was too low which made hardly too switch channel.
Air con is noisy and not so cool but they have dirty ceiling fan supply.
Shower area is bad water pressure working. Toilet area have tiny water broken bucket fir emergency when ran off.

All in all:the best 2 positive things i can think of these hotel is cheaper prices and closed location too silver sand action discotheque area bar thats all!!

I stayed there for one night over the weekend. We got one of the older wooden bungalows as the "newer" concrete one's were all booked out and I got bed bugs from sleeping on this old beds.
I was only away for one night, so they must be from there.
Overall a very basic place where you should only stay if nothing else's available. There are definitely better places to stay on Samed even for the low price.

I don't ask for much in a hotel room. A bed, a shower and, if the weather requires it, a fan or A/C. In fairness to this place, I got a bed which was not the customary Thai solid block of concrete. I get a fan and I got a shower with only freezing cold water. I also got surly attitude from the lady in charge, a foot-long lizard sharing the bathroom with me and mosquito screens on the windows which were mostly damaged or loose.

I was only on the island for a few days, so this served as an adequate base. However, I would not choose it again, nor would I want to spend any more than a few days there.

My friends and I decided to book this hotel at the pier prior to loading the ferry to Koh Samet. In the photos the place looked awesome, but in reality it was a nightmare. The sheets on the beds were stained and had burn marks in them. We paid for an air con room, but were not allowed too keep the remote for the unit and it was set to 26 degrees. The sink in the bathroom didnt work, and the shower leaked so the floor in the bathroom was always covered in water. If there was one positive about the place it was that it was quiet...only because it was so far from everything. Dont waste your time.

The family that runs the bungalows where very welcoming. The rooms where cleaned daily and we honestly felt that we where welcome; the beach is less than a stone throws from the bungalow and we both felt safe and well looked after

Eating breakfast looking out over the beach and ocean is worth the stay alone!!

A must stay location!

Oh as a note; be sure to look at the bungalow before you pay that way you can choose the one you prefer.

This is a cheap place to stay and is a good value for the money but we did not feel safe.

We woke up at 1:30am to the sound of our neighbors getting robbed. We heard somebody saying something along the lines of "give me your cash and valuables". A few minutes later we heard a suitcase rolling away.

We were freaked out and did not sleep well as a result. Next day I read the lonely planet guide and it warned of robbing incidents around the sea breeze area.

I have stayed at Sea Breeze Bungalows on Koh Samet a few times, and had a very different experience each time. The bungalows are generally rather cheap, although some are overpriced in the high season. There are basic bungalows for 300 baht per night, although they also offer air con rooms for 1000 baht. The air con rooms are not worth the price- there are much nicer rooms for the same price on the island. But if you are looking for somewhere cheap to stay, Sea Breeze is not a bad option. The rooms are generally comfortable and sometimes clean. Ask to see a newer room if possible, as the old ones can be very dirty and unkept. The rooms at the top of the hill are not good- very dusty and neglected. The room that I stayed in at the top of the hill was very dirty, the bathroom had no toilet seat, and the toilet was set right in the middle of the bathroom, making it very difficult to shower. Some of the older rooms do not have flush toilets installed yet. Not great. However I stayed in one of the new rooms a couple of times, and they were comfortable and much more clean. All in all, ask to see a couple of rooms before you decide on one! If you are looking for somewhere very cheap, this is the place for you!
