Would stay here again.

Koh Samet is lovely.. it really is worth the trip from Bangkok. Four of us, so we just got a taxi from Bangkok to Ban Phe for 2500BHT then got a speedboat across to the island.

It feels a lot like Phi Phi. Rain forest feel to the place with bars and restaurants dotted along the beach.

Really nice standard bungalow. They must have been refurbished as it was really nice. Had a Med' feel to it with outside shower - but in a place infested with mozzies, not sure how wise this is!! Kind of ruined the romance of it by having to rush the shower!

Even though it's rainy season, the place was still full and we were lucky to get a room. Lots of Thais and Japanese there which really was a nice change.

Pool is in the middle of the resort not near the beach.

This resort is very disappointing after seeing the web sight and reading some reviews. The resort is totally overpriced and overall in a very shabby condition with poorly appointed rooms.
This hotel is more of a 3 star, 2 stars in European standards

The restaurant food was awful from breakfast through to the tom yam goong which was presented with no chilli in it whatsoever; we ended up eating elsewhere for most meals.

I have stayed in a number of beach resort hotels in Thailand and would have to say this is one of the resorts I will not be returning to.

The plus is the beach, which is fantastic with bleached fine white sand.

My honey and I have spent thai new year public holidays (Songkran) in Koh Samet. As told, it is one of the beach paradises. Fortunately, the hotel we stayed is a beachfront hotel which suits the beach and sun-bathing lover. Most importantly, the hotel seems located to almost the end of the beach, far from the busy area crowded with people and restaurants. For the first night, I could hardly fall asleep as the noise from the air-conditioner was so loud. We requested the hotel to check and fix it or we moved to another room. I wondered how this type of air-conditioner is installed in a sleeping room nowadays. Eventually, we moved to a room with split type air-conditioner installed. I can have a sweet dream from second night onwards. Everthing provided in the room just meets the basic standard of accommodation. Well, I think it is better than complaining the bad hotel services and spoiling your hoilday atmosphere. As to the breakfast, the thing I disliked the most is the fly. The food being served is not covered so guests have to share the breakfast with fly. To be fair, we had in-house dinner which I think is a thumb-up experience for us.

Sai Kaew Beach can get a bit noisy and crowded, but this resort is on the north end, and is quiet and away from the crowds. The resort's beach is pristine, probably one of the better beaches on the island (based on my exploring the island on an ATV).

Rooms are stylish, well decorated, with A/C and an outdoor (private) shower. The staff is helpful, the breakfast buffet is excellent (with both Western and Thai offerings). Guests tend to be couples and families. Taxi's are readily available, and you can rent scooters near the hotel entrance. 7-11 is short walk away, as are the restaurants and bars on Sai Kaew Beach.

My only hesitation in giving it 4 stars is that I think it's over-priced. The same price will get you higher end accommodations at other beach resorts in Thailand.

This accommodation was really bad. The shower was broken & the hot water usually stopped before the end of my shower. The whole room was very shabby & needed some redecoration. We asked at Reception to be moved to a better room but were told that none were available. They didn't even bother to ask what the problem was. We asked for directions into town & got no sense out of the staff on Reception. The bars along the beach were some of the tackiest I've ever come across. The beach was also littered with rubbish at times. I would strongly recommend you not to visit this resort. The only good thing I'd say was that there was a nice Italian restaurant.

I only stay here for one night. Everything here seems perfect, the room with the chic decoration inside, the outdoor shower, and very comfortable bed. I couldn't blame the air-con that takes too long to cool down the room. It was really hot during April on the island.

Doesn't matter how hot it was, the staffs there serve us with smile and very helpful.
