I recently stayed here as part of a package ski holiday. After booking the holiday in a hurry, I read Trip Adviser and thought "Oh dear," however I was pleasently surprised......
The hotel is perfectly positioned in the pedestrian area of the town. My room [with a balcony] was to the front of the hotel, overlooking the square with a view of the mountains, was fine. It had a bath with a shower over it and their was copius amounts of hot water, essential after a day's skiing. Concerning comments about towels, good grief!,yes, I had the same one for a week. This is the norm in a lot of homes and hotels and personnally quite acceptable, not to mention its "green credentials!"
As I was on a package deal, the food was basic but quite acceptable. The "a la carte" menue looked very good!
The staff were helpful and pleasent, especially the owners. One day was not condusive to skiing so I decided on a day trip to Saltzburg, with which the owners were very helpful in supplying me with train and bus information. On my last day I was not leaving till late, and again they were very helpful and informative with local "walking information."
"All in all" the hotel is fine, it is a three star and does not claim to be anything else.More
