nice place to relax - a little confusing to find your way around inside but worth it. ease of access from certain hotels is a huge bonus

My partner and I visited on a summer afternoon and really enjoyed our time here. It was a much bigger place than I'd anticipated, and very clean and modern. The bracelet and locker system worked very well, there were plenty of changing rooms, and the showers were clean. Perhaps because it was a warm summer's day, the place was relatively quiet. It was still busy, but people seemed to respect the peace in Relax World, and were chatting quietly or just enjoying the sunshine in silence. In fact, when we first arrived, it was a bit surreal as it was so silent. We spent most of our time in the indoor/outdoor thermal pool in Relax World, but also spent a bit of time in Family World going on the 2 slides. It was nice that this pool was also warm. We had the Salzburgerland card, which included 4 hours in this spa for free (including the sauna area), and when we checked in, we were offered to pay another Euro 5 to extend our stay until closing (which was at midnight). We declined as we had other plans, and in the end felt that 4 hours was enough time. We would definitely come again in future.

We have been many times in this spa this August. The main reson for us to came back was the amazing 360° view of the Gasteinertal's mountains you can enjoy from its beautiful park, and which makes the Alpentherme unique among the other mountain spas we have visited. Moreover, this spa is modern, very clean and really well organised. It's divided in different worlds, in order to satisfy the needs of every kind of visitors. We stayed in the "Relax world" (the one with the better mountain view), and in the "Family world", where our daughters could have a lot of fun in the children dedicated swimming pool. The cons? Only one: the price, which is really high.

This is a very relaxing place with different thermal pools, whirlpools, solarium, massage center, and an area dedicated to children and families. They are very well organised.
It's always quite crowded, and many people don't know the rules of such places so they use the pools as a party place, screaming and playing. It's a bit better in the sauna area, as children are not allowed.

Its large, and if you do not use the very extensive sauna area, its too pricy. But if you use the sauna, you will have to seach long to get such a large number of saunas to choose from. The swimming facilities are good, even with a pool for very small kids.
