Just home from a weeks skiing holiday in Kirchberg. Stayed in the Kroneck for 7 nights. Very quiet hotel with fantastic food in the restaurant. Salad bar was amazing! Staff were helpful and the room was clean and spacious for two people. It is a 10- 12min walk out side the town centre which is fine and taxis are readily avail at a reasonable cost if you are tired to walk home after apres ski.
Hotel also had a lovely pool and sauna area.

We had a huge suite of front, (therefore noisy with daytime traffic), rooms, No. 304, two bedrooms, two single beds and one comfortable double, masses of storage space, separate toilet, big shower. Dining, kitchen and lounge areas with a four seater settee, all well maintained and very clean. Large private balcony. Security safe, fridge, and big TV but with limited choice of channels. Excellent food for dinner with free wines and soft drinks, and very large choice for breakfast. We were able to choose from the breakfast items to take for a picnic lunch, for which a bottle of water, a chocolate wafer biscuit, and paper bag is provided! Pleasant staff. Daily fee for WiFi, but too expensive for me.

Free afternoon tea and cakes. Hotel is greatly recommended, but there is a longish down hill walk into the town.
Avoid booking rooms with numbers ending in 01,02,03, they are adjacent to a noisy main staircase.

The dinner on the third evening was a disaster in that our table No. 22 of seven guests was totally forgotten when the main course was due to be served, The reason was due to one member being a very slow, (and a very messy), eater and they would not serve until she finished her first course. We had to collar a waitress, who seemed surprised, either at our very existence, or at the fact that we had not been served.

Room Tip: Ask for a suite!

We stayed here for 2 weeks in July and couldn't fault anything, fantastic service, friendly staff, great range of food, fabulous location - unbeatable value. Around a 10 minutes walk into Kirchberg, there is such a wide variety of things to do in the area, would recommend a car if you want to get out and about, so much to do within a short drive. We will be back!!

On our arrival at the hotel, we left the coach and went into reception and collected our keys, we had a lovely greeting from the receptionist who was very helpful. We then found the lift and went to our room on the second floor, we opened the door and were amazed at what we found, it was like a flat. It was spotlessly clean, in the main room there was a settee, dining table and chairs, wardrobe and small kitchen area. There was a separate Bathroom and toilet. The room was serviced everyday with clean towels etc.

Breakfast was fine with a well-stocked buffet, plenty of tea and coffee, being on all inclusive we had a packed lunch provided each day, which you made for yourself from the breakfast buffet and they provided a bottle of water and a chocolate wafer biscuit.

The evening meal was of good quality but the quantity was small, it was all nicely laid out. Very short choice one meat, one fish and one vegetarian. We would have preferred a larger hearty meal, there no bulk in it at all.

Being on all inclusive we had unlimited Wine and Beer until 2200 daily.

Outside there was seating and a pool, also there was an inside pool heated. Be aware the Sauna and steam room are no clothing areas this includes bathing wear.
Wi Fi was available at 2 Euro a day or 5 Euro for 3 days, which we thought was quite reasonable, free would have been better.

This was a Leisuretime holiday from Cardiff our drivers Charlie and Tonto were fantastic they really made the holiday memorable and looked after us well.

We stayed there for 10 nights in June/July. We booked directly and got a nice early booking and senior discount. We had a nice room and a better room than most of the people who booked via a cheap intermediate. The room had a renovated bath cel and was good. Breakfast is good. You can make your own lunch. The diner is 4-cours. The main course is not bad and not great. For the price you can not asked and expect to much. The buffet dinners where better. The dinner is more for a 3* restaurant. House wine an beer is free nearly all day and is good. There is a nice sauna and swimming pool which lots of space to sit and to ay down.

We stayed 3 nights half pension. Our room faced the hotel at our side with view to the mountains. The other rooms face the road and the building in front of the hotel or the pool and the playing area at the back side. We think we got the right side. The room was large with a nice sofa, two tables and a double bed, the t.v. was outdated. At booking time we got the possibility to choose for dinner for 15 euro pp. We hesitated but it turned to be a good choice. Not only the breakfast was very good but also the dinner, with a wide range of dishes. The main course you choose in advance (at breakfast) out of three and is served nicely arranged like in a restaurant; the soup, starters, first courses, salads, fruits and desserts are at a free buffet. Most of the guests come for a week and were "all inclusive"; they got even beer and wine for free.
Some tips:
-Take the cable car from Hopfgarten to Hohe Salve. Choose always a sunny and clear day.
-Kitzbuheler Horn is less, especially if you take your car through the Panorama Strasse where you can't stop anywhere.
-St. Johan is a nice place.
-Zell am see is 55 km away (via Mittersill) and is worth to visit. Sit in the garden of Grand Hotel at the water side and enjoy a lunch or coffee with a lovely Austrian cake. It is great value for money.

Hi,
A group of friends stayed in this hotel on a recent ski trip. Initially when we arrived we were informed our booking was mixed up so instead of 3 double rooms we were asked to take 1 double and a family room instead. Given that we had booked the hotel three months previous to our departure date this was pretty bad. The cost per person for the week was not cheap either so one would have expected better. However the lady of the house did give us some cash back as a compromise which was ok.
The beds in the room were small single beds and we also found the room got cold during the night.
Food wise - the night we arrived there was a lovely buffet meal laid on with the choice of meat, salads, vegetables and potatoes. It was really good. To our disappointment this same format was not carried forward for the week. Instead one had to pick from a menu. Limited choice and the serving sizes were pathetic. By Tuesday we were fed up with the food here that we chose to eat out even though was had paid for it. The menu was presented to be posh food but in reality it was just cheap cuts of meats smothered in sauces.
Location wise - even though it is advertised the hotel is in the middle of town it is not. It is a 7 min walk up from the main area where the bars and restaurants are located. Each day this is not great and taxi late at night are extortionate!
The one good point about this hotel is that it is conveniently located to one of the main lifts up the mountain in the morning. We got the bus outside the hotel each day pretty easily and were brought to it rather efficiently. No hassles.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel!
