The hotel is located just outside of the centre of town, ski bus stop near hotel to all of the lifts. The hotel consists of two hotels: taxacherhof and Rosengarten. It is owned by the famous cook Simon Taxacher. His wife is overseeing the Hotel Taxacherhof. The rooms are normal size for Austria. The personal are very friendly. Breakfast offers enough choice for everyone. For diner they offer choice out of 2 menu. There is a small modern bar. The Rosengarten Hotel offers 2 restaurants, one of them is the famous Rosengarten en you must reserve on time.
There is enough parking space. There is a good sauna and next door a wellness area. Ski box is available.

Location of this hotel is great. Unfortunately everything else is a let down.
Restaurant super average. Bar area not impressive as located right next to kitchen. Room average. No extra effort from staff. Hotel spa area is good.

We stayed at this hotel for a week-long skiing trip to Austria and we chose this hotel because it looked more modern than the other hotels in the same price range in the area. All in all it was a very nice place to spend our vacation.
The location is very good, just outside Kirchberg, on the main road going to Aschau, a 15minute walk to town's center, where all the nightlife is. The ski bus station is just 50 m from the hotel, so you can reach the whole area in no time, for both skiing and sightseeing. There are 2 main ski lifts only 2 bus stations away from the hotel, and from there the whole Kitzbuhel-Kirchberg area is available. The trainstation is 30 min walking distance and a taxi from the town center is about 8 euros a trip. There is a big parking around the hotel and there are no tall buildings around, so all the rooms have a mountain view.
We travelled with a group of friends (3 couples), so we had 3 double rooms, all facing the main facade. The 2 drawbacks were that it was a bit noisier on that side of the hotel (although we slept really well) and that the double room was made of 2 single beds pushed together.
From the first day everything went really smooth, the service is really good, all the staff is english speaking and really friendly, doing everything they can to please you. You can find all the information you need about the area at the reception, including buying ski passes.
The hotel is really clean, pretty cozy, not as modern as we thought, but very decent furbishings, new bathrooms, spotless dining room, cool bar and very nice sauna area. It also has indoor ski and ski boot room and a very quick elevator.
We had a halfboard package, so we had out table reserved in the dining area for the whole vacation. Breakfast was great, varied and very good quality (meats and cheeses, spreads, eggs, bacon, cereals, yogurt, fruits, breads, juices, tea&coffee) and the dinner was a standardized 3 course menu, good quality. For the New Year's Eve we had a gala dinner (5 course) and a party with live music at the sister hotel, Rosengarden. For those who fancy finer dining, you can find one of the best restaurants in the area in Rosengarden hotel.
All in all it was a really pleasant stay at Taxacherhof, would surely come again if we would like to ski in the same region.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the back of the hotel if you need a quiet environment for sleep, in the rooms i...

We stayed in this hotel overnight, as we had to make a stop in our long trip. We chose it because of the price - it was the cheapest one in the area. There is nothing bad to say about this place: the room are clean, the staff is nice, we even could have some quick late dinner there. Yet, the hotel situated outside of the city, so you either need a car or a good walking shoes. In overall, you get what you pay for, there is nothing much to expect from this hotel, but at the same time in is good and has all basic requirements.

Had a week long stay in mid August and enjoyed it. The hotel has helpful, friendly and English speaking staff. We had a half board deal. Breakfast was the usual continental fayre:-cereals,selection of meats and cheese plus tea/coffee and juices etc. Dinner was a good quality 3 course menu.
The hotel is a 15 min. stroll down into the town and only 5 mins to the nearby chairlift for that first hike. My tip is to get the travel card that combines chairlifts, condolas and buses for the area(including Kitzbuhel).
If you go and you have got a deal like the one I got through Lastminute.com then you have got yourself a bargain. Use the sauna, dive in the pool and just chill.
Tip 2 ask for a room at the back. The road outfront is quite noisy for anyone else from the country. All in all I would go again.Enjoy!

I stayed at the hotel in December 2008 with a group of 26 friends. There were about 15 other people staying in the hotel at the time. The service at dinner time was appalling! There were two waitresses serving the forty or so people and it was slow, but I think the problem was in the kitchen and not with the serving staff. Salads ran out every night as though somebody was unable to estimate the numbers of dinners accurately. Main courses were OK but not great.
There was a very scant approach to Christmas decorations; one Christmas tree and some small things hanging in a few windows. There is nowhere to sit after the meal and naturally the waitresses want you out so they can set breakfast.
There was no programme of Christmas activities, not even a music night.
As a regular visitor to Austria in both winter and summer for the past twenty years, this was not what I expected. The rooms were of 2/3 star standard, and the staff servicing them did a very good job.
Don't be lured by the Michelin restaurant. Presumably the service in that part of the hotel was good, but was it at the expense of the majority of guests?
