Set in the very large Grand Place of Turnhout, surrounded by many other similar bars / cafes / restaurants, this is a reasonable cafe, serving typical cafe food. The quantity is generous, the quality is - well - cafe. A good cafe mind, with plenty of choice, for sure. But still, very much a cafe. We took the pita cheese and the fried scampi, plus chips of course. Decent quality, and suitably filling. Are you going to get a culinary experience? No. Are you going to get plenty of decent quality food, with no airs and graces? Sure. At a cost of 28 euros for 2, including a large water the price is not bad either. Add to that very helpful, and quick staff, and......well, you have a good lunch. Just don't expect haute cuisine.
