We went with a group of six for a business diner on a Thursday evening with a severe thunderstorm, heavy rain and the was a TV show on the central Market place (Villa Vanthilt) all that same evening.
We were very friendly welcomed by the Italian lady/owner. Amazingly we were the only guest all evening long.
We choose for an "a la carte" starter and a main dish. We were very well assisted in our choise.
The impressive wine list proved to be top. Our bottle of red was professionally decanted and served, and was beyond expection. Glasware was top quality, and very enjoyable if you ant to taste a good wine.
For starter I had pasta with mushrooms, served in a beautifull bowl/plate, as main dish veal. Everything was haute cuisine. The price is accordingly (22-25 € for starters, 22-30 € main dishes). But value is good. Although I was hungry and plates looked a little on the small side, because of the tasting mode, I was satisfied with the portions.
The aftertaste of the food nd wine made me even decide not to have coffee.
Nice discovery in this provincial city !
