Stayed here as I participated in the golf nearby. Very positive surprised in the old building which has been converted to hotel. Room was nice a quiet, spacious and followed by a very nice breakfast. Service was personal and very efficient check in and out.

A very interesting old character property in a lovely setting.
The history of the former artist owner was particularly interesting.
Very large, clean and comfortable rooms.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Limited but adequate menu for food and drinks.
Good breakfast.

I stayed at the Hotel Torenhof for one night on a business visit to the area. I found it down a dark lane in a secluded and very quite area. I arrived after 9pm but was welcomed and shown all I needed to see. There is no bar in the hotel, but the proprietor, who spoke excellent English, brought me an excellent beer, which I decadently drank in bed watching Dad's Army on the TV. Yes, there are UK channels.
The bed was supremely comfortable and the room cosy, but spacious. The bathroom was stylish with a good shower. Best of all after a long day the wifi worked very well and I was able to catch up on all the work I needed to.
Morning revealed what a beautiful place this is, the spring sunshine shone on the gardens and a thin mist rose from the nearby Leie river.
Excellent, friendly staff, a beautiful historic building in fantastic surroundings make this a great place to stay if the centre of Gent is not quite right for you.

Feels like a little castle. Easy & free parking. Warm & friendly reception. Breakfast served to the table. I enjoyed the calm & quiet atmosphere.
In the middle of nature, but still easy to reach (max. 4 kms from the highway)

I picked this hotel by Internet research in order to have a one night stay on our way to Calais. We were looking for a nice quiet, dog friendly and interesting looking hotel.
We were not disappointed. The hotel is very nice. The dog was no problem at all and there a good opportunities to go for a walk.
The building, our room and the breakfast room are special and unique. Just look at the pictures on the hotel webpage. The bedroom was decorated what I probably would describe as antique. The bath was brand new and very nice.
Breakfast was served directly at the table. You order your beverage and the kind of eggs you like the day prior. Breakfast was very good. Especially the fresh orange juice and the “Spiegelei” with bacon.
The owners are very nice and so is the hotel. The price was very reasonable for the quality and service.
