I discovered this new and very charming B&B through word-of-mouth. It's a renovated historic stable and caretaker's complex, which has been converted into a charming boutique hotel, with several paddocks, so you can bring your horse. Of course, you don't need a horse to enjoy this bucolic Sonia Forest setting. The rooms are individually decorated and all tell a story about the region or some of its noted personalities. The cafe serves a nice mix of food and a great selection of Belgian beers. The sunny patio with a beer was most enjoyable. I was able to catch the train at the adjacent railway station into Brussels in just minutes. And even though you are close to the train, you cannot hear it. The peacefulness of the forest is very relaxing. The hosts are great and attend to your needs with a sincere smile. Good English is spoken here by the owners. I would recommend Hippo Droom for leisure or business.
