The park Erperheide is 4* and not 5* like three years ago and that is correct: the price is less than other parks, but you als get less: the bungalows are old, the beds are poor. But it is clean, like always in Center Parcs. More light on the walking paths could be useful. Swimming pool is still the same as in 1992 :-) Maybe an update?

We were here for a weekend (Friday to Monday) and really enjoyed our stay at this parc. Our cottage was nearby the reception desk and the Aquamundo, so ideal! At the reception desk people was very friendly and helpfull to all our questions. The parc and accomodation is very neat.
Only minus is the matresses on the beds. These are too soft. The market restaurant was not so cosy, but the grill looked better. The aquamundo pool was fun! Minus here are the steps and stones on the steps (I injured my foot here as the stones are not equal and walking on it is not easy).
But, overall: a place of nature to enjoy closeby.

The accommodation (renovated premium lodge) was clean and comfortable and well equipped including toddler equipment (cot/toilet seat/high chair) although it had less space than the equivalent in uk centre parcs. The swimming pool was pretty similar to what we were expecting but my eldest daughter tells me the slides are better in the uk. Our only issue was that the life guards did not seem particularly vigilant. There wasn't much selection of places to eat and what there was were very expensive so we actually ended up eating 75% of our meals in our accommodation. On hindsight we would have taken a lot more groceries from England and not just breakfast things. There is a big soft play centre but not entirely safe for little ones as the bigger kids are on too. The activities for under 8's are limited. The mini golf and ten pin bowling were a bit run down. The kids didn't notice any of these things and had a great time cycling and swimming, but without wanting to sound like a broken record, it all seemed smaller, sleepier and less exciting than the uk centre parcs. However, it was half term and was practically half the price of the usual centre parcs we go to, so really you get what you pay for. The actual journey to Belgium using the Chunnel was quick and easy. There were not many English people staying there which surprised us and although most things were written in 4 languages,English wasn't one of them, but most staff did speak English. Having said that the children enjoyed the reminders that they were abroad.
We didn't have a problem with mosquitoes but our friends who were also there really had a problem with them. Finally, we also noted how many people had pets (mainly dogs), with them.

Don't expect Luxury style in cottages. Overall is a good place for little ones. Nice surroundings and vegetation. Clean place. Clean village. Nice animal farm. Nice covered playing area with lot of fun for tods. Terrible food at food court. Better to plan bringing your own groceries from home, but still a nice supermarket to buy some basics. (and you will find a shopping cart in your cottage to do groceries or carry things from one place to another)

The park itself is nice , but on the free map they give you it says you can stay an extra night for €49 , which we wanted to do , but when we tried to extend the holiday by one day we were told its not €49 but €178 , the €49 is only for people who stay on a weekend break , this was not printed on the prices they showed on the map , having being told how much one night would cost that made our final day a pissed off day , one night at €178 is not worth the money at all , even our cottage was going to be empty after we left , center parcs really need to wake up with their over priced one night as you can for that money spend a night in a lux hotel and not a run down cottage , also the wifi is ultra expensive , its way cheaper to switch on a roaming data package with your mobile provider than use their wifi at around €1 per mb its over priced , the park itself does need a major upgrade as it looks old and worn out , apart from the above we had a relaxing time

Stayed mid-week in the beginning of September.
Recommend for families - facilities for children excellent - indoor play, several playgrounds, pool and especially the farm (with pony rides).
Beware of mosquitoes in the villa - take netting!
Sadly the beds are not as comfortable as other Centerparcs we have stayed in.

2 adults 3 kids: been going for the last 4 years. Stay in the comfort chalet and very nice. Doesn't have an oven but never caused us a problem. Has loads to do for the small kids (farmer for a day) and also bigger kids (archery) so never get bored. If you book in advance not only to get you get discounts you also get 'toppings' which means money of things like bike hire. Booked already for 2014.
