Had a one night stop off on the way east.
Family with a four year old and a six year old so we booked a family room.
Staff were very helpful on arrival and the room was at the back of the hotel so avoided the higher traffic areas, although mid-week so the hotel didn't seem that busy.

The evening buffet was available so we booked that rather than venturing out in the car to look for something else. At E22 for adults and E15 for children the buffet was a bit steep (I think if they had a rate for smaller children it would be better value given that our two basically ate bread, cheese and a few salad items). The buffet had a wide variety (3 main hot foods, seasonal vegetables, plenty of breads, cheeses, cold meats, and salad items with coffee, tea, water and sparking water included in the price). It would possibly have been better value if a dessert was included in the buffet choice.

The room was spacious with a dividing wall between the double bed and the twin beds. The room had good air conditioning and effective blackout blinds. The windows did open if you wanted fresh air but the traffic noise from the near by freeway would have probably kept most people awake if the window was left open.
The beds were superb - we kept talking about it for a few days after. They were very comfortable.
The room offered complimentary wifi but it was a bit of challenge to get connected (the instructions possibly needed to be a bit clearer but maybe I'm just a bit thick).

The breakfast buffet was very good. Coffee was from a machine but very good and there were plenty of juice options too. Cooked food was available (eggs, pancakes and a few other things - though not a full English breakfast), as well as plenty of fruit, yogurt, cereals, cold meats, cheeses, breads, pastries and scones. The breakfast buffet was good value for the money.

Another positive was that check out was only by noon, so it didn't feel like we were rushed to clear out straight after breakfast.

The only negative was that the bar fridge in the room wasn't working. When we reported it at reception the next morning the receptionist took it seriously which gave the sense they were hot on making sure guests were happy.

Overall a very good stay and would happily return.

Room Tip: Hotel itself was quiet, but don't open the windows because the motorway is quite close by.

Just chose this hotel whilst driving from Cologne to Calais randomly! What a great find! The rooms were compact but quirky! Very comfortable beds and pillows.love the concrete shower room. Fab tv with coloured back lights! Good facilities- tea/ coffee, toiletries ok, good towels and nice breakfast. Great restaurant next door, la plancher- good food but not cheap.great service from pleasant and friendly staff. Would like to see more of these hotels around!

Room Tip: Comfort room good value

Easy access from the motorway and very easy to find.
On arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who even booked us a table at the restaurant attached to the hotel. Lovely large room with every comfort including tea and coffee and even lots of English TV channels. Breakfast was very good indeed with a fabulous selection of both hot and cold foods and they even cooked fresh omelettes and pancakes to order in an area of the buffet, lovely friendly waitress, good coffee machine. We only discovered this hotel by chance and its rather a gem, well done to all the staff.

Room Tip: We booked a basic room which was fabulous, no view but as only there overnight it wasn't important.

This hotel is very close to the motorway albeit that the roundabout when one first takes the exit is often very busy. It is on a cut off piece of old road together with some houses and a few other businesses.
There is a good size car park, friendly reception and excellent buffet breakfast.
Our room was fine with good space and excellent sound insulation.
We found that there is a network of foot and cycle paths very close to the hotel so one can stretch one's legs after a drive. Next time we plan to walk up to and over the canal bridge which goes over the top of a roundabout.
We enjoyed the buffet dinner and found it excellent value. The only downside is that it is only available Monday to Thursday. Otherwise there is a restaurant next along the road.
