“Great Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 November 2012

My wife and I stayed here in early October, the hotel is on the front, and we had an 'Hibiscus' room, with fabulous sea views.
The restaurant was superb, almost gastronomic dishes with a very good wine list, and the staff were really polite and friendly. The prices we thought were very very reasonable for the quality provided.
With free gated parking too, this is a place we will return to!

Beautiful hotel on the beach with a spacious but sparse room and nicely tiled bathroom. Arrived to early to check in but were encourage to enjoy the beach and use hotel facilities until we could check in.It's May and we were in the water to cool off, a beautiful day.Check in wasn't until 3PM but we needed to cool off from the sun. Enjoyed the hotel pool later and lounged under an umbrella with a book. For dinner, we explore the restaurants along the beach and stop to enjoy Spanish food;

The reception staff were very friendly and efficient. The interior decoration is very original, with a slight thai/ oriental type feel.
We stayed in a room type Hibiscus which had a small balcony and views over the water front. Good room and Huge, very comfortable bed. Not sure about the two (single size ?) overlapping quilts though that were on the bed rather than one large one. Balcony was large enough for two loungers and there was a superb view of the sunset.

Breakfast was ok, a self service buffet with pastries, cold meats, cereals etc as well as a small selection of hot food (bacon & very runny scrambled eggs). Only irritating thing was the juice pressers used to make freshly squeezed orange juice. very noisy and took ages. One lady took 10mins to fill one glass !! Irritating if you were sat anywhere near them !!

Great location. Just a short walk from all the restaurants along the waterfront and literally a stone's throw from the beach.

Book up for the spa when you book the hotel room. Even out of season. Otherwise, you may well be disappointed if you try to book (as we did) when you arrive.

We will be going back !

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend at the end of August / beginning of September and we both really enjoyed our stay, the location was great! The beach opposite the hotel was lovely and the sea was generally calm enough to swim in, unlike some of the other beaches in the area.

The area was fairly chilled out in the evening but close enough to Hossegor if you wanted a more bustling atmosphere.

The room was a good size with a good size bathroom and separate toilet. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful both at reception and in the restaurant.

If you want to hire bikes make sure you ask at reception as the rental company will drop the bikes to the hotel so you don't have to go looking for the rental shop which is in Hossegor!

If I was being really picky I'd say they food in the restaurant was a bit overpriced. The breakfast was good - there was a good selection but the hot food (bacon, eggs and sausage) weren't great.

Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: We had a pool view room and didn't hear any noise from outside at all and we could also get a gl...

I've visited this hotel with my boyfriend in the beginning of July, for 3 days and we were both pleasantly surprised. The staff was very kind. No matter at what hour we would pass through the reception area they would always smile. The room we had was clean, spacious and the furniture was in excellent condition. We had a great terrace and probably we would have spend more time on it if it wasn't for our short stay. I have to say that I was not very impress with the spa - only a sauna and a small fitness equipment, but there was also a pool and the breakfast was delicious!
We've decided that next time when we go there we'll definitely be at the same hotel.

We booked a junior suite with ocean view but decided to upgrade to a better view. Boy am I glad we did. We had a panoramic view of the ocean. Fantastic! We often would sit on the balcony just gaze at the sunset, surf and people. The view was worth the price. The breakfast was fine (typical European with coldcuts, cheese, eggs (which were ok-not great) but fine. Had a refrigerator, sink and stove top but no pots or pans to cook with so we just ate out and kept snacks and drinks in the refrigerator. We didn't use the pool much because the beach right out front was awesome and super easy to get to. Staff was friendly. Could use better coffee in room though as they had "instant" and it wasn't that great. Room had a safe and we took a nice long walk to Hossegor. There are nearby cafe's and a grocery store to walk to where we bought a bottle of wine to keep in the room (so we could watch the sunset and drink wine). I'd stay here again if I could have the same room with the view.

Room Tip: Get the room with full ocean view if you love the beach and love to surf. You won't be dissappo...

The rather dull brick exterior is in contrast to the very smart modern interior decor in the reception area. Our bedroom faced the sea and had some nice touches, but overall we didn't think that it was worth the high price we paid. We pack light, but even for us there was very little cupboard or hanging space.

We had been looking forward to the restaurant (and indeed this was one of the main reasons we picked the hotel) however, despite being residents it was fully booked and they could do nothing to help. Nobody bothered to ask if we wanted to eat there in the evening when we checked in, although it sounded as though by then it may in any case have been fully booked.

Overall, we felt that the hotel was overpriced for what was offered.

Whilst the room had a good sea view, we really didn't think much of Capbretton. It has little or no charm or soul and is basically a long line of dull, unattractive, overpriced restaurants stretching out from the hotel to the harbour area. There is no attractive shopping area nor any other pleasant features you may expect in a holiday resort.
