We had dinner here every night of our stay in the Burgundy region. It is typical classic French cuisine and Chef Allain is a great guy! The service is very warm and friendly. It makes you want to return. Make sure to ask for a table in the garden in the back. A very nice place to have a nice dinner with a good glass of Burgundy wine.

I have eaten here several times before, and it used to be extremely welcoming with good food. It seems to have been done up, and maybe is under new management? That said the welcome was lukewarm to say the least, the food order was confused and little attempt was made to ensure that this was put right. Unfair to say that the level of service was bad, but with several other places to eat in the village I think it is safe to say we do not have to return to the Centre again.

Finding stopping off places en route between Calais and the South of France is always quite interesting and we like to try several. The village of Meursault with its vineyards has long been one of our favourite places especially as it is so close to the autoroute.
The room we had in this hotel was clean but very basic; when was the last time you stayed in a hotel room which didn't have a TV? I noted it was one of the cheapest and I expect that others might well be larger and .... have a TV!
The restaurant was good, the menu quite varied and food well cooked. It was a very pleasant experience and the highlight of the stay. Overall the food was very good value, the wine list, as often is the case in such a prestigious wine region, was very extensive and expensive! For some reason I always avoid the €1900 bottles and opt for the odd glass instead.
Breakfast is limited to croissants and bread, all very tasty but some English travellers used to something more hearty or cooked will be disappointed.
Overall not a bad hotel, friendly service, a good location and so nearly very good!

Being hot weather & very active walking and cycling we chanced upon this venue and ended up going there each day for an afternoon drink for the 6 days we were in Meursault. Apparently it has. One under new management in recent months after many years. We did not stay here as hotel guests but retain ly we liked the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly service. We dined there 4 times and were never disappointed.

The Hotel du Centre is situated in the heart of the town, opposite the famous town hall. It has a well-frequented bar which boasts ample table space with very necessary sun-shades, where one can watch the world go by at a gentle pace - nothing happens too quickly in Meursault!
The restaurant (where one should book in advance) has a delightful mix of classic Burgundian dishes (one should try the garlic butter snails!) and solid French cooking such as rack of lamb or veal kidneys. The cheese selection is what one would expect from a top-class establishment in France, and if you have room, their are a delicious array of tempting deserts. The service is refined, and both menu and wine list has been adapted by the new owner, Alain Billard. It was nice to see that one can still order a wonderful Gevrey Chambertin, for example, and have change from €40, and there were less well know local reds starting under €20.
We have visited this restaurant over many years, and it just keeps on getting better and better.

We stayed one night while driving to the South of France. The historic building was charming but the rooms small but adequate with the en-suite bathroom. The restaurant meal was excellent we selected a set price "regional" menu and highly recommend it.
The hotel is in the centre of a very pretty village and not too far for access to the highway.
