We had a lovely 4-night stay in House One Oct 2014. As 3 single adult travelers in our 30's this house was a perfect fit, but would also work great for families, couples, etc. Bedrooms and bathrooms were modern and luxurious, kitchen was well-outfitted for cooking and enjoying local wine and foods (wine fridge, range and oven, many options for cookware, glasses and utensils), outside space was large and relaxing, and the house is just a block from the village centre for shops and restaurants. With rented bicycles, we explored the surrounding villages and took in beautiful countryside views. Susan's directions, advice on the village of Meursault and surrounding areas, as well as restaurant and vineyard recommendations were invaluable. We hope to return to Burgundy and would absolutely stay again at Rue Montmeix, as well as recommend to friends and family. A wonderful stay!

“A slice of paradise Burgundy style!”

After long distant travel from Melbourne, Australia we could not have been more delighted when we arrived at 6 Rue Montmeix, Meursault. A beautiful house set on the edge of the village overlooking a vineyard. The house, furnishings, outdoor setting and village living all rate at 5 stars plus! We have no hesitation in recommending this house to our friends and very much hope to return one day. Meals in all restaurants were fantastic and we indulged in our love of cheeses, wine and bakery items of which the choices were plentiful.

“Just Brilliant”

House one, like house 2 is exceptional. This is an amazing renovation, and we met the builder. If we ever decide to buy in the area, Dave will be building our place no doubt based on the quality of the build. Again Susan was amazing in her hospitality, and the apartment and view exceptional. With the village in town being one of our favourites anywhere we have travelled in Europe, we are just blessed to have had the opportunity to stay here again, but in the house 1. Love the outlook over the vineyards, the spa, BBQ and outdoor entertaining areas.

House one in Meursault was fabulous. All of our further accommodation will be rated against our stay here.
Being in a small village but with butcher, baker and small supermarket made our stay. The villa offered all the amenities we could want and was beautifully clean. The local tourist office was also very helpful.

“Outstanding house in Burgundy”

This was our second stay in this splendid house in Meursault, and we can only thank the Brunners for the warm welcome and for offering a house of such high standard. All was just as wonderful as the year before, from the Nespresso machine to the lovely surrounding vineyards - please scroll down to our review in Jan 2013. We had excellent lunches in nearby restaurants, with great quality:cost ratios - our awards go to Maison Lameloise and Loiseau des Vignes. We would also recommend two walks or bike rides: one along the beautiful Canal du Centre (leave your car facing Restaurant l'Escale, near Remigny, GPS coordinates 46.9064,4.720821); and the other in an abandoned railway that was paved and turned into a protected path amid the green (leave your car near the old train station of Paris l'Hôpital, GPS coordinates 46.91355,4.641454).
This is a superb place to nest and visit Burgundy.

This is an outstanding holiday house.Everything is to the highest standards, great kitchen, comfy sofas, brilliant beds , baths, showers, plenty of storage, spacious and light. Hugely well equipped. Pretty garden with flower beds, extensive seating, hot tub, barbecue ,backing on to vineyards with views of the hills.Lots to do and see in the area, with the ancient wine village of Meursault, its good restaurants and high quality essential shops, within a few minutes' walk. All the renting admin ran smoothly: the owner really cares and is a delight to deal with.
We did some beautiful walks in the area, as well as enjoying the Art, History, Chateaux, and of course... the food and wine...

It is not often I have had the experience that the holiday rental is better than the photos but it is in the case of Rue Montmeix. The huge stone building has been beautifully converted into two houses, with another underway. The whole place sits between two vineyards and is surrounded by views of hills and more vineyards and the village. House 1 is just beautiful. The renovation is high quality and wants or nothing. It is exceptionally well appointed and has everything you could want. The village is two minutes walk and also has everything, 2 boulangeries, a small supermarket, 5 restaurants and countless wine shops and tasting places. This is a beautiful slice of Burgundy and close to Beaune and Dijon for larger town experiences and many more lovely villages. Susie is a pleasure to deal with and very attentive to her guests, all over email in my case. We plan to return.
