We spent a week in the rental, using it as our base for day-trips to the surrounding vineyards. It was a delightful place. Cozy and comfortable. Couldn't have asked for a better setting. Dined on the grounds overlooking a charming vineyard and wine barn. Loved the church bells in the village.

“They have thought of everything”

When our GPS finally found the house, we parked up and saw the outside of the house. This was nothing compared to what we experienced inside. Possibly the best renovation of an old Burgundy residence we have ever seen.

The attention to detail by the owner Susan and the Builder David, whom we met, is uncompromising. We arrived late and the hamper was not there, but a quick call to the housekeeper by the owner and within 20 minutes we had our starter pack and the most pleasant lady who delivered it. Such a delight.

The house has the most amazing appointment of cutlery, crockery, glassware, pots and pans and knives. This may sound pedantic, but it is always left to last with such properties and the cheaper options are provided. Not here, it was exceptional, it felt like we were at home and had the same quality. The bedding, washer dryer, cleanliness and facilities was amazing. We simply could not fault the property, and has left a lasting impression with us.
The other amazing factor is the location, just literally 3 minutes walk to the main street where there is a Casino grocery shop, an amazing bakery and just as good butcher. The restaurant Le Chevruil is exceptional, and all within walking distance. Two large wine shops in town and two other restaurants we were going to try but they were booked out.
The 15 minute drive to Beaune is a must on Saturday morning for what is possibly the best market we have been to anywhere in France, Spain, Germany or Italy. The colours, quality of food and options was amazing. And what an amazingly beautiful little town. The outskirts have many villages dotted along the 30 minute drive between Beaune and Santaney .

One small suggestion would be to include a curtain in the upstairs bay window to limit the sunlight entering the apartment, as our children were not going down as easily oand getting up early, but this may detract from the properties intention. Its a very minor suggestion

Whilst we had a small issue with the spa, we felt this was addressed in amanner that was very acceptable to us.

The quality, service and value for money that was on offer was very good. You can read my may TA reports, and this would have to be one of my favourites. Susan was extremely accommodating and takes care in her guests, it was a pleasure dealing with her. We had an amazing holiday, albeit too short, we would certainly love to return and recommend it to others.

“Beautiful property overlooking vineyards in this first class wine village”

This property is extremely well equipped - everything you could wish for in terms of comfort and cooking equipment. There is even a small larder of essentials provided. If you don't feel like cooking there are some fabulous restaurants within walking distance - my favourite being the Hotel du Centre just off the main square - and plenty of others in the surrounding villages.
We loved the split level living with the amazing window overlooking the vineyard. The property is perfectly placed just on the edge of the village with only a 5 minute walk to the amenities of the pretty village.
The outside space looks very well laid out but unfortunately it was not quite warm enough to make the most of this - definitely worth another visit later in the year.
Beaune is only a 15 minute drive away and should not be missed - plenty of good shops and restaurants and a beautiful walled medieval town.
