Great location in the heart of town. The real highlight was the restaurant in the hotel. The dinner was incredible. No elevator, so if you have large luggage beware. The room was very clean, however did leak a bit (they're working on it haha).

We found this quaint little hotel at short notice on Tripadvisor and it turned out to be a great stay at an affordable price. The friendly owner was very helpful and we enjoyed a lovely dinner (and breakfast) in the hotel restaurant. The place is newly renovated and very quiet at night. It can be difficult to find parking close by in the narrow streets. Be prepared to drag your luggage up a couple of flights of stairs if you do not travel light. Poor WiFi reception in the room, but it works in the lounge. We will definitely be back!

Hotel is old buliding nicely renovated . We were in one of the rooms on top which is ok but bed was too smal and very uncomfortable for two persons, especially guys. We arrive around 9 pm , we have dinner in a hotel resturant too .It was ok but really nothing special. Cucuron is nice small city but very queit. It was no bar or pub for drink after 10 pm.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for two nights and dined in the restaurant on both evenings. The rooms are apparently all newly refurbished and very well maintained. The bathrooms were clean, the linen good and all very well presented. You really get a feel of Provence whilst staying here and it's a nice break from the larger chains of hotels where everthing is the same no matter where you stay. The food in the restaurant is of a high standard and again very typically provencal. There was a choice of three dishes for each course, most of which were different on the second evening. The restaurant is comfortable even though it was too cold to profit from the terrace! The service was extremely friendly and I believe it was the owner of the hotel who served us and spoke excellent English. In general, we could not fault our stay apart from the missing sunshine! We would definately recommend and will hopefully stay once again when it's a bit sunnier!

I stayed here for one night during my cycling tour of the Luberon Valley. I found my room to be very agreeable and the staff very friendly. The place was very clean and full of fresh air. I very much enjoyed the lounge/common room with many things to read. My breakfast was very satisfactory. I would recommend this place to anyone and would stay here again without hesitation.

For our trip to Provence, we wanted to be close to the lavender fields near Valensole, Pont du Gard, and the Abbey de Senanque -- and Cucuron was a good central location. Because we wanted to go in peak lavender season in July, we also sought air conditioning. We found the Hotel l'Arbre de Mai online with good reviews and reasonable prices and contacted Thomas the owner by email to reserve our stay. Thomas replied in good English and we easily reserved our room with him. We asked for the balcony room, but could only get it for 5 of our 6 nights, but we took it and were glad we did. The balcony was a treat in the mornings and in the evenings before and after our day trips. The wifi on the balcony was okay (not so much in the room), and the wifi in the second floor sitting room (TV, books, etc.) was excellent. Other plusses: Cucuron is really nice and we experienced tasty meals at L'Etang (The Pond). (We didn't actually eat anything other than breakfast at our hotel.) I enjoyed the energetic, varied market day. The town is surrounded by scenic farmland and vineyards (my husband particularly enjoyed photographing the nearby sunflower field in full bloom). Be aware of the following: The hotel's room are smaller and plainer than their American counterparts. The bathroom has a curtain instead of a door. Parking may be 1/8 mile away, but you can unload/load at the door. The balcony room is on the 4th floor (no elevator). The breakfast is Continental - tasty baguettes, croissants, jams, coffee. But they were accommodating to me as I am avoiding gluten, by providing fruit and yogurt. In summary, if we get back to Provence one day, we will definitely stay in the balcony room at l'Arbre de Mai again!

Room Tip: Get the balcony room (unless we're trying to get it) :-)

Very impressed. Big rooms, low prices, great quality and very clean! The owners are young and very friendly people who try there best to make your stay the best possible.

*The restaurants in this area close early. so make sure you are in time.
