I was lucky to have this hotel as part of a biking tour I did through Luberon. I stayed two nights, and was fortunate to have my "rest day" from biking here. The grounds are beautiful, the room was charming, and the service always pleasant. The restaurant was absolutely wonderful. Madame keeps her property in beautiful condition, and I cannot wait to visit here again.

A very impressive hotel, five star treatment, although only a three star. The food was excellent, the chef's speciality on a Thursday something not to be missed. Staff is very helpful. Definitely not a hotel to be missed.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights in May. There is a nice pool, and the grounds are very peaceful. We found the restaurant to be just okay. Having stayed in many places in two trips to Provence, including several five star hotels, and visited much of the wine country, we were a bit surprised that this was the only place where we heard the term "pic-nicking." This hotel calls it pic-nicking if you desire to open a bottle of wine in your room. Before we understood this policy, we naturally assumed that in Provence it would be okay to open a bottle of wine in the room, as we had in other hotels, and to this end I asked one of the staff if I could borrow a cork screw (tire-bouchon). The staff guy disappeared and returned with an opened bottle of wine to give me. I said no, this is a misunderstanding, I don't want a bottle of wine I just want to borrow a corkscrew. I did not accept the wine, however, upon checkout, I found I had been charged for the bottle of wine that we didn't accept or consume. We found the owner/manager to be a bit cool and indifferent, and she seemed unwilling to provide anything other than the most minimal of non-smiling service. It's too bad, because this is a lovely location with nice grounds, trees, pool, and great location. Perhaps under different ownership this place could be one of the true gems of Provence. We would like to stay there again because of the good points, but probably will not as there are other more welcoming choices.

Room Tip: The rooms are all different, so it would be wise to inquire in advance for a description and locatio...

A good place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet and a very good French kitchen. The pool is excellent. The hotel is in the heart of Provence, with a short driving distance to the nearest village. The village has a nice market.

We have been visiting this hotel for a few years now and love the peaceful location, the excellent food, and quiet, efficient way in which it is run.

The hotel is situated in extensive grounds and has beautiful views over the Luberon. The swimming pool and sunbathing area are enclosed by a high wall - perfect for privacy and for shelter if the Mistral ever arises.

Weather permitting, breakfasts are served on the broad terrace outside the dining room.

The hotel is near enough to Lourmarin for active people to be able to walk down to the village - a bonus on market day (Friday) when parking there is difficult - there are at least two routes, neither of them particularly demanding.

Room Tip: Rooms in the older part of the property are larger and have more character.

We stayed in October of 2013 as part of a trek with some others through Provence. This is a charming location just outside Lourmarin. The grounds are spacious, the pool quiet and private and the staff very helpful. We had two meals there and can attest to the good kitchen. Breakfasts are well provisioned. The rooms can be a mixed bag. Ours was on the ground floor with a patio shaded by a large plane tree. For that reason is was somewhat dark but that shade can be a good thing at other times. The room met all our needs and we have no complaints. Other rooms were more charming with Juliet balconies or views. We would stay here again.

Lovely rooms smelling of lavender, although doors hard to lock and no shower over the bath. Internet only in certain places. A very tranquil place to stay. A nice pool area, very private setting. We had a cute balcony off the room.
