Stayed for a weekend night in November. Reservation (by phone) was okay, but formal just this side of uncomfortable, and you will be charged 80% of your bill if you cancel less than 48h in advance. The hotel is on a narrow stretch of land on the banks of river Havel, which is pretty, but doesn't provide for much space. The interior decor is very much early nineties, though well enough maintained. Dinner at the restaurant is slightly on the overprized side, which is the norm in places along the havel, or in fact all around Berlin. You'll be definitely turned off to see, however, that they charge you an extra EUR 3,00 for the use of a bathrobe ... ridiculous. And it's not even a nicer robe than any other place provides f.o.c., by default. On to the 'wellness oasis', which is so small that if any more than three people were attempting to use it at the same time, they'd be forced to agree to who is using which facility exactly when. And finally: Breakfast is included in the rate, but just so-so meaning bland German continental style plus scrambled eggs, without any visible effort to stand out. What does stand out however is a serving crew with comments on the verge of rudeness. Quote one person mixing me up with a guest at another table, when serving my coffee: ' Oh you people all look so alike ...' All in all, well, you'll be happier elsewhere, even if spending a bit more.
