Arcadia Hotel Hannover
Ranked #10 of 13 Hotels in Laatzen

As business travelers we have been to numerous number of hotels across countries and we def know what to expect. But at Arcadia the stay was the worst ever:
1) The staff have forgotten to smile or they hate indians/racists
2) Ask them for help they make a ridiculous face a human cant
3) while checking out we has a query on the bill and we got some very rude comments with a very ridiculous face i can never make

I think for colored people its the worst hotel to stay and I recommend you to look for something else in the Hannover city. The only advantage is its very close to the exhibition grounds else there is no other reason why anybody should stay here. Are you a white probably you will not feel the difference.

The best thing about this hotel is that it's in walking distance of the messe. Other than that the walls are paper thin (I heard the alarm clock of the room next door), the staff vacuums at 8 AM, and the wifi not only requires a fee it's slow. You are in the middle of nowhere so expect to take lots of taxi rides.

This is a business hotel, just OK to have a bed to sleep at night, there is no mini-bar, there is no english spoken channels on the TV, the breakfast is overpriced (14 Euros), there is a McDonald's just 100 meters ahead where you can eat much better for half the price, I stayed here for the Domotex trade show and the price was more than 250Euros per night, the most expensive hotel that I have stayed in my life, also beware that they do not have money exchange service, so your dolars are not good in here, it is just in front of the Fair site but the entrance I had to use was about 2 miles ahead so I had to take a cab every day. Book here only if it is your last option, if you can stay anywhere else do it.

Room Tip: Try to ask for a room that does not face the main street, which is really noisy.

This hotel was advertised on the Agrictechnica accommodation list with pricing starting at 64.80 euros but it would appear that they want to put off International visitors to any exhibition at the fair ground at this hotel as they were actually charging 497 euros per room per night during the fair and this did not include breakfast or internet. Breakfast was an extra charge of 14 euros per person and wifi- internet charge is 5 euros per day. There is No tea/coffee making facilities in the room either as apparently only 5 star hotels have this in Germany so why were we all being charged 6 star prices for our rooms then !!!! there are no English/american channels on the tv, no sky news,CNN or BBC1 which is unacceptable in a business hotel and for what we were being charged.
The restaurant and bar are very basic so fortunately it is a good thing that McDonalds is a short walk down the road and there is a chinese restaurant not far away. Also a sausage stand at the station saved our day.
On checking the tariffs at other hotels around the Exhibition center, whilst they had also increased them they had not totally ripped off their customers, yes they were still charging more per night than their usual tariff but nothing like what we were charged !! The Arcadia hotel obvioulsy felt as they had rooms available they should hold us to ransom and charge what they like and as we only booked several months in advance the price just spirralled the nearer to the date of the exhibition so people had no choice but to pay as it would appear all the hotels were booked up, It was total robbery !! We felt like we had been mugged but the difference is when you are mugged the police would have arrested the muggers!
SO BE WARNED if you want to stay in this hotel check that there is no exhibition at the time otherwise you will also be mugged/robbed of your hard earned cash.
They do not realise that the people visiting the exhibition are not all millionaires but just business people so we do not appreciate being exploited in this way. All I can say is, if all Hannover continue to exploit their visitors during a fair it will put the visitors off and they will not bother to visit the shows and go to alternate shows in the world where they do not exploit their visitors.
I would say the hotel is about on the level of a Premier Inn however they do have tea/coffee making facilities and Premier Inn dont exploit their customers.

Room Tip: If you are a non smoker please inform the hotel otherwise your room will stink of stale cigarettes...

Must stayed one night in the hotel in a room for 460 Euros! The room has very hard smell on cigarets and I could't sleep! The room was clean but for that money shoul have much better smell, free WiFi, free TV, free a coffee and tea, and much better furniture and decoration then that cheep one and at least a room bar if not a piano! Only one good thing that I can say is that the room service was very efficient and the girl who brougth the dinner was very nice and polite and dinner and ice-cream were very nice and tasteful.

This is hotel has only one advantage: It is close to Messe Hannover, That's all!
All staff work with bad mood, lousy service, unhelpful..and poor english..
Rooms are only OK, but clean! If you have other option, choose the other option or you will get very Angry during your staying!

Overall not a bad Hotel but also not a great experience
Great location for the exhibition Centre The staff need a little training on their PC systems the service was slow. I was very disappointed with the restaurant side, The choice and the food was just not what you would expect.
The air conditioning was not working in our room when we arrived.
On the TV channels I had no English Channel is nothing like CNN or sky News.
On the good side of the location to get into the ligna fair was great It was just a walk over the road.
There is a McDonald's very short distance away which was saving grace for somewhere to eat.
I think the hotel needs a little money spend the night just to give it a nice light makeover.
