We just returned from a fabulous, relaxing stay at Paros Palace. We were impressed with the hotel from the moment they picked us up from the ferry port (without grumbles) at 1am.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard.
The pool is beautiful with views from the hills overlooking the sea. We had a room set back from the road and it was very peaceful. There is also a hammock and quiet seating area.
Breakfast was excellent – great variety and quality.
Our apartment was clean, well decorated, spacious and had a small kitchen with all the necessary appliances to cook a simple meal.
The port / town of paraikia is a short walk (12mins there, 15 mins back as it is on a hill) and although there is no pavement, it is safe enough. You can take a very quiet road to the right as you start down the hill, it is sign posted D.E.Y.A.N. or something like that (in Greek), past the running track. We hired a scooter as it was so reasonable (about 18 euro / day).
September seemed a great time to be there as it was very warm and sunny but less so than august and much quieter. Peak season is apparently mid june to end of august. There were about 8 couples staying at paros palace but it is large enough that we were often the only people at the pool and around. The apartments are private with their own balconies. There were no families.
We understand that a fitness centre and tv / reception area is currently being built.
Incidentally, there is an English outdoor cinema in paraikia called cine rex, just past the port.
All in all, we would highly recommend it!
