“Lovely in every way!”
Reviewed 29 June 2009

A perfect location; attractive, spacious rooms; outstanding food; the most gracious and considerate service—this hotel made our stay on Paros such a pleasure.

It's located conveniently near the main town of Parikia, but above and at a remove from the noise and crowds. The hotel is lovely and serene, with a very nice pool, inviting common areas, an easy walk to a fine beach, and views we will remember forever.

Our rooms were most most comfortable, with plenty of space, a terrific balcony with a great view, and best of all a truly charming child's room for our nine year old daughter to call her own. The hotel is romantic enough for honeymooners but genuinely family friendly too.

Even before we arrived the staff was extremely helpful: organizing our car rental and providing guidance about the island. The service was never less than outstanding, and was always genuinely friendly and welcoming.

They've got a terrific chef and the restaurant is reasonably priced. Breakfasts were very good, with plenty of choices.

We cannot wait to return to Paros and to this wonderful hotel.

This hotel corresponded exactaly to what we were dreaming for our holidays in Greece. It is close enough to the village to go for a walk or for dinner and at the same time totally isolated from the busy touristic atmosphere. The hotel is in front of a beautiful beach and since we decided to spend a day chilling it was just great to walk from the beach to the swimming pool and have a cocktail at the bar. The restaurant serves very good food and the breakfast is excellent.
The decoration is lovely and makes you feel in a greek home.
Very good deal, since you can profit both from the paradise beach and easily reach the village where lovely shops, bars and restaurantes are located.
Above wall, this place provided us with a real greek hospitality experience, the staff is really cool!!!

We loved it and will go back again!
Hotel Agnanti is about 10 minutes on a scooter into the main town of Parikia so it's far enough from the action to give you privacy and peace, and close enough to make the most of the town at day or night.
From our room which was a small private villa that had everything you could need, we could see the beach, and walk there in a leisurely few minutes (there's a stone path from the hotel). The beach itself is sand, clean and the water a clear beautiful blue (it's cold but refreshing).
The staff were superb, everyone works well together like a well oiled team. I wasn't a huge fan of the maitre d of the hotel restaurant - he was a bit too slick to actually do any work and restaurant service at the hotel as a consequence was slow (but it forced you to be patient and relax into the island more), however he was surrounded by very hard working staff who were genuinely happy to see us for a cocktail or a meal when we didn't venture off to one of the town's for a meal. The food by the way was absolutely delicious - especially the fresh fish of the day and lobster rissotto - it's pricey though, so it's more of a special dinner on the balcony in one of the 'arabian tents' with a view to the ocean, rather than a quick and tasty cheap eat which can be found at many places in town.
Breakfast is included in the price and is delicious whether you go continental or for a fry.
The reception staff (and I suspect the owners) were absolutely wonderful - helpful, organised, knowledgeable and a lovely couple (?). Couldn't do enough for us and both spoke excellent english in addition to their native tongues.
The pool was gorgeous, the tennis court in good nick, great areas for the kids to play in the shade or sun as there was table tennis and other games (if you have kids), and everything was included in the price (no hidden extras).
The scooter cost us about £12 per day including insurance and was well worth it to get around the island - it was fairly safe on the roads as well but we were there in low season so it may be different in the midst of summer when the island's population increases. If you're not into scooters, there are quad bikes also and probably cars.
You will need transport though if you're staying at Agnanti - it's just that bit too far to be walking in and out. In any case, if you don't have transport you'll miss out on the other gorgeous towns of Naoussa and Lefkes which are well worth the visit, and the view from the mountains is spectacular.
In all, Hotel Agnanti comes highly recommended and would ideally suit couples of any age group. Whilst we were there the ages ranged from 25 - 55 years, but most around the 30 - 40 age group. It has the feel of an exclusive resort for those people who want a special and private sanctuary. It would also be a sensational place to get a small group of friends together for that special holiday - you'd almost feel you had the whole place to yourself the way it's been cleverley designed.

The Paros Agnanti is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at around the world. It is not a 5 star but the most pleasant and helpfull staff, the rooms are large and very clean, the food in the dining room is superb (and priced reasonably), the location is perfect to rest and relax, the pool is large and very clean. It is best to have a car as you will also want to visit the whole island. The staff is very helpfull in recommending other good restaurants on the island. Nicholas, the maitre d, is most pleasant and runs his dining room very professionally. After having visited, Mykonos, Santorini, Athens and Crete, Paros was a most pleasant surprise especially after having received information from the receptionist and the maitre d. The owner and his wife is also present on the property most of the time and at one point or another will join you in a conversation to ensure you are pleased. This hotel is one of the nicest we have experienced.

Although it was the end of the season when we got to Paros, the hotel welcomed us warmly and the staff was gracious and helpful all times.
Check-in was smooth and we were taken to our rooms after they offered us a drink, very nice detail.
The room was spacious and bright, it had a medium sized balcony and a lovely view.
We rented a scooter to get into town for dinner and to Naousa, the receptionist helped us organize it.
We also went to Antiparos for the day. there is not much to see in paros but we had a great 4 day stay there.

We are a family of 3, 2 adults and a young daughter (9 on our trip). Paros was our first Greek Island for our vacation. We were spoiled by the Hotel Agnanti the minute we arrived. Our room #56 was amazing as it was elevated giving us the most beautiful views we've ever been blessed to have. Every day after a swim, we would open our balcony and front door and enjoy the beautiful warm breeze. The room was absolutely spotless! Wonderfully and simply decorated with traditional touches. The figs at breakfast were to die for. Visitors to Hotel Agnanti are in for a treat, the hotel owner has an organic farm that provides you with the freshest produce. Our stay was delightful. Nina was a fantastic young woman who worked at the pool. Can't say enough! Paros is an amazing place, rent a car and explore. There is much to see if you don't mind going off the beaten path. Enjoy!

Paros was the 2nd. stop of our 3 stop vacations on the Cyclades. All the hotels we booked through Apollo.no. The Agnanti was one of the nicest hotels we saw on the Apollo web page for Paros that was on our price range. I can only say that the total experience was wonderful.

We reserved one of the suites and can without any doubt highly recommend them. The price difference is minimal compared to the standard rooms and the difference is big. The standard rooms are good also but the suite was amazing. The space was huge, it had a giant balcony with a magnificent view and everything inside was top. There was electronics like DVD and an LCD TV (we didn't use this) in addition to the normal appliances you find on most rooms.

The bathroom was very nice, my only complain is that the shower was too open and the bathroom floor was a mess after taking a bath, it went ok putting some towels on the floor though.

The areas inside the hotel are top notch. The pool area was very nice and was very well maintained. The pool bar was the best I visited during our vacations. Nina, the girl on the bar made our stay very pleasant. She is one of the must experienced bar attendants I found on the hotels we visited. Thanks a lot to her for her dedication on everything that she did. We didn't use the tennis / basket facilities but they looked nice. They are one of the few hotels we visited that had NOVA satellite service, though not in the room, this let me watch some Premier League football on the giant projector they have on the conference room. NOVA has the rights for the English footy in Greece.

One very pleasant thing is that the hotel has a free WiFi hot spot service available to the guest in the lobby and restaurant areas. They were the only hotel that offered this. On most places you have to pay for the wireless Internet access. They also had a stationary PC that you could use if you didn't have your laptop with you.

The only negative point that I can remember could have been that the menu was not very variated on the restaurant. I recommend you to go and eat on one of the villages. The food is not bad but it could be better. The best sandwiches were served i the pool bar, made by Nina :)

The beach is at walking distance (5 minutes) from the hotel and the walk path is good. The beach was nice and very clean. The sea is very calm.

in conclusion we were very pleased to have stayed at the Agnanti and will surely come back next time we are in Paros.

  • Liked — The standards were high
  • Disliked — The restaurant's food could have been better, but it was not bad.
