“Average hotel but its all you need”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2013

We stayed at High Mill in June for two nights. The hotel is average and needs a bit of work here and there but its all you need for this beautiful island. The hotel has a spectacular view of the Aegean seas with the most beautiful sunsets!
The staff was very friendly and as far as I could see it is a family run business, so everyone plays their own part.
The wifi is free, however, we had some problems connecting as our room was very far from the reception area. They did however managed to fix the connection problems the next day and we were able to use the wifi in our room.
The beds were very uncomfortable and hard though but we are not that fussy with that. As long as the place is clean I can bare a wonky bed.
The breakfast was average. All the places we stayed during our Greece holiday had some choice of bacon/eggs. However High Mill only offers hard boiled eggs with your normal cold meats and cheese...nothing great.
We still had a great stay with beautiful memories! Thank you.

My boyfriend and i are about to complete our stay at this lovely hotel. The staff are so lovely, and will help you with anything and everything! Whilst the exterior looks a little dated and could do with an overall 'spruce up' it is a very charming hotel. The walk into town is about 15 minutes and is quite easy. Paros is definitely on the quiet side, but the restaurants in the centre of Parikia, on the water, are really good value for money and offer lots of variation. As soon as we arrived, the lady at the front desk put us in a bigger room with a balcony because we had lots of bags, which we were very thankful for. Breakfast is a little bland and could definitely offer some more options. The pool is huge and great to spend a lazy afternoon on one of the pool chairs. Internet works great in the lobby/lounge/ sitting area and also worked fairly well in our room. overall this hotel was great and i would definitely reccommend it!

PS- if you can do one of the day cruises around Paros and Antiparos, it was AMAZING!! Definitely one of the highlights of our whole trip!

This hotel was part of our Island Hopping trip. A great family hotel with wonderful staff. Our room had a small patio which was lovely to sit on and soak up the views. We had a spotlessly clean, comfortable room overlooking the sea and even though the weather was a bit cool we had wonderful swims in the pool. Our breakfast was fantastic and was served in a beautiful outdoor dining area. It was within walking distance to the town with its great restaurants, tavernas and shopping. Paros is a beautiful island. We hired a car and did quite a lot of site seeing. Our thanks to the beautiful Anastasia who made us feel welcome and was always ready with helpful information. A fantastic place to stay!

We loved the views and peace of this hotel. It's an easy walk into town and beaches, tavernas. Beautiful grounds and pool, friendly owners, nice breakfast and very quiet in pre season. Room on second floor had a nice view and small patio but very public to patios in rooms next door. Nice breakfast served in outdoor terrace, or indoors if you prefer. Rooms clean and adequate. we did rent a car to see the island, which you can do in a day.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front with a view

We ended up at High Mill in October 2012 quite by accident. The hotel we had booked closed for the season and transfered us there. What a happy accident! High Mill is a 10 minute walk into town, and it's perch on this hill affords beautiful sea views from the rooms. We had a large room with a lovely little balcony where each evening we sat and watch the sunset before walking back into town for dinner. Fabulous!
The family staff were all very attentive and helpful. Anastasia picked us up at the port and showed us the shortest route to walk. She also recommended restaurants and a car rental place. Both of which were excellent. She also took care of sending out our laundry. Very helpful indeed!
The hotel is charming, and larger than I expected. There's a large pool, and a lovely breakfast garden.
So glad we stayed there!

Room Tip: I think all rooms face the sea, but ask.

As soon as we arrived on the island we realised that we would need a hire car. The hotel is a good 20 minute walk from the port and from shops and tavernas. This little hotel provided the break we needed from a busy holiday that included London, Tuscany, Santorini and Athens. The hotel is a few years old and run by a family. The rooms were small but airy and the beds comfortable. Our rooms had balconies that overlooked the water - the views were spectacular. The bathrooms were modern but the shower recess was tiny and would not suit a large person. Breakfast included toast, cake, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, ham and cheese. Very efficient maid service - the rooms were cleaned and beds made while we were at breakfast. Only issue we had was the cost of a load of washing - 24 euros which we felt was a bit steep when the machines were on site.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the water would be our preference.
