“Great view !”
Reviewed 6 September 2010

This is a nice place to stay, we had an amazing view on the ocean.
The hotel offers breakfast in the morning, but only snacks from behind the front desk during the rest of the day.

Hosts were friendly and helpful. 10 minute walk for the little town and 15 min to the beach. For 30 min walk you can get to another beach easily.

You can take the bus too. When it comes lol ! But we loved Paros

I spend 11nights from July4th till July16th 2010 with my girlfriend at High Mill Hotel and it was truly a stay that I will always remember. The hotel has a perfect location high up on the hill side with a fantastic seaview - the sunset from our balcony every night was fantastic. The room was very nice and spacious for the two of us. The breakfast table every morning was plentifull and very nice. The hotel has a great pool-area, where we spend a lot of hours - relaxing and cooling off. The Greek family running the hotel are very nice, hospitable people - very eager to always give the best possible service and they are always very friendly and smiling. We really felt like a part of the family, while staying at the hotel and we spend many happy hours in front of the television in their lobby - watching the Soccer World Championships - together with some of the family and other guest. The hotel is very clean and very nicely decorated and the room was cleaned every day and was very nice. The hotel is nice and quiet - the guests are no noisy young people - but families and people, who want to relax and enjoy the holidays. The service at the reception was great - Anastasia and Dimitris were always smiling and being very helpful and we look very much forward to going there again next Summer - to relax and see the owner family again. Since a lot of years, I’m impassioned by Greece, his history, his past but especially by … people!
I visited much, much time the country, only or with my husband. Therefore, we slept in very many places. In 2005, we discovered the island of Paros and we fell… in love from this island.
For the first stay on Paros, in 2005, we didn’t sleep in High Mill. But a friend (who lives Paros and knows all the hotels) spoke to us about High Mill and, since, we spend holidays of dream there!
The reception? Cordial, true, sincere! Anastasia and her family are exceptional people! Every hour, there is somebody to listen to you, you to give councils! I met many people in the hotels which I visited. Never, I felt as much in family, as at our own house! If we return late in the evening, there is somebody in the hotel. The least minor problems are solved as fast as possible.
The situation? Of course, the hotel isn’t in the center of Parikia. But it takes hardly 15 minutes to arrive at the port! Right what it’s necessary to do a small walk! Moreover, the island has a very good network of bus and there is a stop not far from the hotel. How the hotel is on a hill, we have a remarkable calm , far from the noises of the city!

The place? Fabulous! Unforgettable! Each room has a terrace or a balcony and offers a sight to cut the breath towards the Aegean Sea: sight on small bay of Parikia, sunset since the room…. Paradisiac !!! The garden of the hotel is worthy of a beautiful garden of French Riviera. Moreover, each one can there walk, take rest. The swimming pool, beautiful, is well maintained! The long chairs are very comfortable!
The rooms very clean, accessible, are very well cleaned daily. Each person has one or two pillows, of a comfortable armchair, a corner office, a refrigerator (including in the price!), of air conditioning (also included in the price!). What is necessary it moreover to succeed of the holidays!!!
The breakfast proposes coffee of quality, the, fresh drinks, delicious fresh bread, very good « viennoiseries », accompaniments and true Greek yoghourt!!! A delight! The hotel proposes an access Internet for a very low price! My husband and me let us have one day thought of renting a studio in Parikia, for the holidays. We didn’t do it: in High Mill, we feel on our premises. Moreover, the price is very, very correct! As soon as we go in Paros, we will place in this hotel!
This hotel deserves to appear among the excellent hotels 3* of Paros! I recommend it to all the people in love with Paros!

Thanks to Tripadvisor, we can delivers our opinion and see that of the others. It’s very well. In connection with High Mill, I would like to say my anger against a person (who will recognize herself!) It isn’t right: she complains about the quality of the beds and I’m absolutely not agreement with this criticism! Personally, I have a serious disease of the bones. In High Mill, I sleep without any pain, me to awake. The beds are qualities! Pillows too! The bed linen is very clean! The person was to know that there is no elevator. Did she really ask of the assistance? In High Mill, the family is so nice, so near to each person!
Moreover, when somebody travels with two people, it isn’t difficult to organize for the luggage! The same applies to the criticism of the bathroom. It’s rather small, of course, but very operational. The towels are changed each day. They are of an immaculate whiteness. For the shower, if a problem of pressure arrives, that lasts… 2 minutes! But it’s very rare!!!! For this person, I will highly advise to rent a room in a hotel 5 stars and to leave in “all in”: she will see the price and the impersonal reception of the large hotels!!!! And she will know never again warm welcome in a hotel of quality! It’s well too easy to criticize….

Although the owner was very nice and friendly, the service was really very poor. The hotel has no elevator and no one to help carry the guests' luggage, so we were 3 ladies pushing our heavy suitcases up the stairs by ourselves (ok, first lesson: pack lighter! But at that point it was a bit too late...). The shower was unbelievable: so tiny you could only hope that the soap wouldn't fall, otherwise it would just have to stay on the floor; and with so little water and no pressure that it was just impossible to take a decent shower. Last but not least, the mattress was so hard that my shoulder bones hurt, and the pillow was so high that the next morning what hurt was my neck.

Stayed at HIGH MILL 7 Nights in Sept 09,Rooms were very small & a "CLOSSET" Bathroom.Must say the views from the balcony were fantastic & the pool a delight. The brakfast was very poor, wouldn't feed a mouse!A Redundant bar that never opened & no other food offerings despite being told there was a snack bar/restaurant. But are main complaint is the owners who showed no interest in their guests,Most of the time the Reception was unmanned & once you had paid they didn't want know! Name of the Hotel says it all,on a hill with a good walk to town on a busy road.Overall a poor atmosphere which is a pity because with the right Management it could be great Hotel but for now I would avoid.

The first impression of the hotel, walking into the room, was not a great one. The room was TINY, with next to no room to open suitcases without putting them on the bed. Be prepared that the bathroom is really meant for one small person at a time, and the shower is difficult to maneuver in. However, the balcony and view made up for it. Every room is sea-view, and the grounds of the hotel are fantastic. The pool is large (and a little chilly), and there are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The location is good - about a 10-minute walk to the main road of Parikia. The main road has tons of good restaurants, along with some supermarkets and little shops.

We rented a car for one day to drive around the island, and I would recommend that to others. We were able to take a 10-minute ferry ride over to the island of Antiparos (with our car) and explore there. Antiparos has a huge cave, as well as many shops and some beaches. We drove all the way around Paros with very little trouble, but do bring along a good map as there are no street signs and you pass through towns very quickly.

I would highly recommend that you visit a restaurant called Plaza Restaurant on the main road near the water, owned by a man named Paul. It was definitely one of the best meals we had while we were away, and the staff there is super friendly!

We stayed for two nights in this lovely hotel in Paros. Standard 3 star rooms, but the balcony view was fantastic. Our first night we watched the sun set from the balcony with a little ouzo! The swimming pool was large and gorgeous, the kids loved it. The rooms had a small fridge and air conditioning which we enjoyed. The restaurant only served a basic breakfast, (no other meals), but the patio area more than made up for it, a great spot for starting the day.

Although it was only a short 10 minute walk from the main area of town, it was along a fairly busy road and definitely not intended for pedestrians!
