Parikia is a nice village with a traditional old town.It is nice to go for a walk or visit the excellent church Ekatontapiliani or sit at the port and drink a coffee. But it is not comparable in any way with Naoussa.Naoussa is wonderfull and the best place to stay.Parikia is just for one visit.

“A great base to island hop”
Reviewed 6 February 2007

I might be biased as my wife's family own a house here. We found it a great place to base ourselves for island hopping. All the ferries seem to pass through here on the way to other islands. The port area can be very daunting when the ferries arrive with the mass of people and traffic. This is also a good spot to pick up water taxis to the beaches or an excursion boat to Antiparos.
The town itself is full of the typical Cycladic architecture (whitewashed houses with blue trim) and has a great street to browse the shopping. Also the Panayia Ekatontapyliani Church is definitely worth a visit.
The sunsets are best enjoyed at one of the many restaurants on the seafront. The food is good and for the most part reasonable.
