Just returned from our third visit. Nothing new to report except that we're looking forward to our next visit already, as were others who were also on a return trip. So still a great place to stay in a beautiful setting with a fantastic pool, still great food and wine, still attentive service and all with a passion and commitment from owners Teo and Patricia and their dedicated team to make sure you enjoy your stay in every possible way. Fantastic!

Room Tip: From suites to trullos they're all excellent and beautifully appointed. You won't be disappo...

We had a very relaxing five days/nights at Cervarolo and just loved it. The location of the masseria is very good - we were a 10-20 minute drive from all of the villages we wanted to visit. The masseria's swimming pool is massive, in which our kids spent hours, and there are plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The best part of the pool was the service - there is a lovely woman who makes delicious fresh fruit and vegetable drinks/smoothies and homemade fruit popsicles! The grounds and buildings are very pretty, and we stayed in a trullo as a family of four. Our room was really nice, as was the bathroom (the shower was small), and we were very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious - excellent home made cakes, as well as a full spread of fruit, eggs, cheese, breads, etc. Dinner was even better - we stayed at two masserias in Puglia and Cervarolo was clearly the winner in all areas, especially the food. We ate three dinners and one lunch at the masseria - all were farm fresh delicious meals, and both the indoor dining room and the outdoor dining patio were lovely places to have long family dinners. (Although I do wish we could have had lunch served poolside.) One afternoon, the masseria offered a complimentary cooking class to the guests, which was wonderful! Teo, the owner, was so helpful giving advice on villages, markets, sites, beaches and more to fill our days, and we were so touched when the staff presented us with a gift of local honey on our departure. We loved our stay and would definitely return to Masseria Cervarolo.

We stayed at the Masseria for a week in July. It's beautiful - every area of the Masseria has been lovingly restored. We stayed in a Junior Suite (room 6 ) with our two children - it was not huge but spacious enough, has extremely comfortable beds and it felt so peaceful and relaxing in the cool stone cottage decorated with traditional Puglian furniture and pottery. We loved it.
I thought the food at the Masseria was fantastic - my husband wasn't so keen and I think it's just a question of taste. Dinner is a real experience with all dishes cooked fresh, fantastic local ingredients and brought to the table in succession - lots of local vegetables and cheeses so depends if that is your thing. If you are a fussy eater probably not for you but if you like to try local cuisine and happy to eat whatever is brought to you then you'll probably love it. We ate in some nights and then ate out in local towns on others - some great restaurants to visit and the food in the local area generally is excellent and very reasonably priced.
The pool bar menu at the Masseria is great if you want to feel virtuous - lots of healthy frappes (as well as cocktails, beers etc) - they also do ice-creams. The massage lady is excellent too - best massage I've had in years - she comes to the tables at breakfast for bookings which some found offputting but we didn't mind it and very glad that we decided to book with her.
The pool area is huge - and again beautiful. Whilst generally I would say that the Masseria is very child-friendly the pool is not particularly. Children are expected to be quiet in the pool and it is more of an adult area. The pool / bar lady will soon tell you if your children are being too loud or behaving inappropriately - this includes any playing with balls which are strictly forbidden. Not too much of a problem for us with older children although I did feel a bit on edge in case one of mine shrieked with excitement - but very difficult with younger children who do tend to get excited in the pool. A number of parents did comment to us that they weren't finding it hugely relaxing spending a lot of time saying 'shhh'! None of the guests seemed to mind a bit of children fun noise so suspect the staff do need to chill out on this one and allow parents to chill out too! Still didn't detract from our enjoyment of the pool at all and for us it was a highlight of the Masseria.
Hope to visit again one day and would definitely recommend to others - quite idyllic really.

We didn't stay here but were guests at a lovely wedding. It was an idyllic setting on the cliff top over looking the Adriatic and a few kilometres from the lovely town of Ostuni. Lovely old buildings , very friendly and efficient staff, lovely food , and lots of nice unexpected touches to the wedding celebrations . A picturesque outdoor pool in a garden setting , unfortunately not heated so was quite cold at the beginning of June , even though the weather was hot! The hotel is situated quite a way off the beaten track , there is an inadequate local bus service , so a car is absolutely necessary , as cabs into Ostuni , although quite near , only 10 mins drive , cost €20 each way.
Would definitely return here to stay , but would hire a car for convenience !

We enjoyed 11 serene days at Masseria Cervarolo; easily the most relaxing time we’ve ever spent!

Cervarolo has it all - location, the Masseria, people, food, wine.

It is located in the middle of a diamond of fascinating towns - Ostuni east, Martina Franca west, Locorontondo & Alberobello north and Ceglie Messapica south - all within 20 minutes drive.

The Masseria is a joy to behold - everywhere you look you discover something wonderful.

Teo & Patrizia, warm & generous hosts, ensure you are welcomed as real guests of their family.
Their Staff all display that same caring attitude. We were overwhelmed that one place could have so many nice people employed; a testament to Teo’s leadership & style and the Team he has assembled.

We had dinner at Cervarolo 5 of the nights and Chef Quiríno amazed us with every dish.

We loved our breakfast every morning - a generous spread of savoury & sweet.
We also had several lunches, some in the pool bar and others in the alfresco dining room.

The Cooking Class and Puglia wine tasting that are offered were real treats and should not be missed.

Teo was very helpful with suggesting restaurants in the surrounding towns & ensuring reservations were made for us. These meals were some of the best food we have ever eaten.

The beautifully decorated rooms were spotless, and the beds were incredibly comfortable.

We were so pleased with our stay; we could not have asked for a better time.
Looking forward to our next visit!

Grazie mille Teo, Patrizia & Everyone at the Masseria Cervarolo!

Few hotels allow you to have a sense of ownership in the way that Masseria Cervarolo allows you to. Such as relaxing in their beautifully designed common room with honesty bar. We only stayed for 2 nights but we felt like we had been there for weeks. It's a great hotel with wonderful friendly hosts, but the dinner really seals the deal. Overly abundant delicious food in a great setting. Can't beat that!

was not able to stay at the Masseria, but were there for a wedding, and the quaint picturesque buildings, both inside and out, along with the gardens and pool area were wonderful, and not forgetting the marvellous food. to stay there must be a really relaxing experience.
