“A nice place in Ostuni”
Reviewed 19 March 2014

We stayed at Masseria Salinola for just a single night in March, but we were so amazed that we think we must return on day for a longer period. The masseria is an old farm house were salt was stored (that's for the name) and has a couple of cosy rooms. We were almost the only guests, which even added to the relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are simple, but tastefully furnished and a pleasure to stay in. For lunch we had bread with local ham and salami, cheese, olive oil and olives, a simple thing but so increadibly tasty! The same is true for breakfast, which was a treat! The place is highly recommended and we would have opted to stay there rather then going back home:)

Had the pleasure of a visit with Daniele and his family at Salinola. This masseria provides luxury accommodation, excellent food and generous hosts, who are very keen to share their beautiful environment with each guest. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and extremely sumptuous. A perfect base for exploring fantastic Puglia!

We stayed at the Masseria for a week in June 2013. Everything was fabtastic: room, breakfast, location.... The owners were extremely nice and did everything to help us when we broke a tire during our stay. We will definitely return to this wonderful place.

We stayed at the Masseria Salinola for two nights. arrived there because our original B&B was fully booked, and could not have been more happy for that. the masseria is a few minutes drive from Ostuni old town.it is actually the owners house, that you are a guest in, living among old olive trees at the countryside with some old farm items decorating the garden, such as old doors that have become garden tables now.
The room, although a bit small, (room no. 6), is tastefully decorated to the smallest detail, very clean with a sauna bath inside.
Very rich and tasty breakfast is served in a beautiful dining room, and so is dinner, which is highly recommended, if you like a good traditional Italian food.
Danielle, the owner, is always available, with an open hearted hospitality, ready to help and advise, with all the tips you need of the area's points of interest. the location of the Masseria is classic for visiting some of the main tourist attractions of Puglia.
We fully agree with all the great reviews this B&B has previously got.

We finished off our one week Apulia stay at the Masseria Salinola. Daniel could not have been more gracious when he arrived (and incredibly helpful with dinner reservations and providing directions/suggestions for places to go). We were in room 6 … complete with it's own glowing cistern (though the light didn't work during our stay) and steam sauna. The room was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. While we didn't use the pool, it was clean and beautifully blue, set amidst orange trees underneath a very cute veranda. We were the only guests there during our 3 night stay (it was off season), but we never were without access to help or people available to answer our questions. The daily breakfast was hearty with no fewer than half a dozen cakes, meats, cheese, bruschetta, and fruit. The masseria cats are friendly and entertaining.

It started with a crash. Our holiday that is. The good news: nearby police officers witnessed the hire car being hit from the rear at a roundabout. The bad news: those officers discovered said vehicle was not displaying a valid insurance disc. So, we were forced to accompany them to a police station while the matter was sorted out. Then, hours later, it was necessary to drive to Brindisi Airport to replace the vehicle. A wasted day. Thanks Avis. “I just want to go home," says the wife. After this unfortunate beginning, the rest of the holiday needed to be good. It was more than that. It was great. Masseria Salinola was everything it is cracked up to be. Beautiful surroundings, rooms with character, warm and welcoming hosts and Puglian cooking that is to die for. In fact, enjoying the traditional food and wine of the region after a day spent sightseeing or simply relaxing in the grounds of the masseria was the highlight of our stay. The actions of a certain Punto-driving Neapolitan soon faded into the background thanks to Daniele and his family. This masseria thoroughly deserves its excellent reputation. We’ll be back.
