This is a great place to spend time around the pool and barbecue or to explore the countless towns and villages which make up Puglia.
The closest town is Ostuni - known as the White City because of its myriad of whitewashed stone houses sitting on top of the hill. Travelling a little further afield, further delights are waiting to be discovered. We never had a bad meal wherever we ended up and things were surprisingly affordable after Tuscany.
The Trullo itself isn't huge and is simply furnished - and if we had one criticism, it would be that there isn't really a seating area indoors other than around the kitchen table unless you bring garden chairs into the main bedroom (in September, the evenings are cooler). The pool is well maintained and the outdoor hot tub can be any temperature you like.
The owner - Franco - takes a lot of care to ensure his guests are properly looked after, even providing a local English speaking contact to deal with any little queries.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to a couple or a small family who enjoy privacy without feeling isolated. A car is essential.
