I have to say, that this is the place you want to stay in Geiranger. Of course you don´t expect premium luxurious accommodation but this one is fairly good for those who are more adventureous and kind of hikers. Yes the wooden interior is dated little but it is very clean and the standard is just fine. And for the location it suits perfectly. You can enjoy BBQ on the terrace overlooking the most beautiful fjord and it is not crowdy (like the little village of Geiranger). The staff speaks english and they do accept CC...

We stayed couple of nights in June. The cabin had 2 bedrooms and open plan kitchen. Outside parking space and veranda. Very clean, kitchen basic with a few plattes, mugs and pans. One bedroom with bunk beds. Bathroom-toilet Nd shower. They were finishing brand new cabins as well-they loked really nice!!! You will be staying further from the fjord but you will get amazing few! The camping site is situated about 2km up from the town centre -we walked daily. You can take a walk along the road or through the fields. Comparing the price to what you get we say 4 stars.

We have stayed in 2 larger cabins. There were everything that we needed.
View - OMG!
I agree that some people migth have problems with parking, because there is not a lot of space for maneuvering, but we were with a van and it was ok.
I do not reccomendit if You want to be closer to village and do not want to use your car, but on the evening we went to Dalsniba, so it was very comfortable.

Room Tip: Be ready to have cash, they do not take credit cards.

We spent two days in Fossen Camping, the cabin was cozy and clean, the verandah overlooks the Geirangerfjord, what a view, and you have walking trails nearby, starting from Vesteras Camping.
The only cons were that we had to pay in cash, they don´t accept credit cards ( we had to pay the bank comission for the cash) and you have to pay extra for the internet.
Parking is free but it´s a little bit difficult and you have to be careful while parking.
We would come back to Fossen Camping in Geiranger.

We stayed here for one night at cabin #9 and enjoyed a great view. The place is clean and we loved the balcony and the view. We enjoyed a basic kitchen for light meals and overall found the place to be quite and comfortable. We paid around 800 k including towels and linens. Will stay here again

Room Tip: Ask to look at the cabin before selecting it - thats what we did

We stayed here one night while exploring the Norwegian Fjords in a cabin. The cabins are a little tired but fairly clean and tidy.

The best bit however is the view. The cabins are perched on the edge of the fjord looking down on the cruise ships and over activity. Bedding can be provided as can towels and the cabins are fully equipped with cooking utensils etc.

The easiest way how to describe this accommodation is great. This is privately owned accommodation and it is obvious that the owners really care. The welcome here was warm and we were given keys from two cabins so we could choose in which one to stay. We chose one with probably greatest view in whole Norway - "our" terrasse was facing directly to Geiranger fjord. It was like looking at beautiful wallpaper while having coffee. The cabin was simply but cosy with electric fire place. It is about 3 kms far from the fjord but the view is worth even to walk this distance. The surroundings is great for hiking and if you are not a big fun of hiking you can take a boat trip around fjord. Geiranger fjord and Fossen Camping - highly recommended!
