We love it here - traditional restaurant serving good food at an amazing price. They don't charge by the weight here for fish you pay set price for whole fresh fish - my sea bass with salad and chips was 9 euros.
A very busy restaurant you need to book, ( downstairs is best ) as a couple we joined other holidaymakers at the tables, which makes an interesting evening. We went three times and met some fun people, ate delicious good value food.

Not easily spotted on a small alley, look for the large "Green Door".
Very busy spot that has typical decor including wooden ceiling, bench seating and a narrow twisting staircase up to an enclosed roof terrace.
Food is traditional Portuguese with a large range of fish dishes, cataplanas and arroz.
First night my wife had swordfish steak, large and cooked to perfection so that it melted in the mouth. I chose a pork and clam dish (not like a cataplana) simply panfried with small diced roasted potatoes, olives, olive oil, lemon and plenty of garlic.
Both dishes with a bottle of rose wine came to 29 euros.
We returned again later in the week for a fantastic arroz dish comprising mixed shellfish cooked with rice and served in a large pot. It was delicious and very filling and all for 26 euros.
Some people may or may not like the bench seating, but many feel that it adds to the atmosphere, and the presence of a large group of Portuguese at the next table must surely be a good omen.
Not very large but very busy, you may need to book ahead. We were just lucky on both visits.

The special fish of the day is outstanding value at 9 euros, including potatoes and veg. On the day we visited, the choice was sea bass, snapper or halibut. The seabass was a large one, served whole, and was delicious.

Service was a little slow, but this was outweighed by the great atmosphere, and the lovely house wine, very reasonably priced.

This is a very basic no frills restaurant, but the quality of the food is fantastic, and it represents the best value in Alvor

Service can be a tad slow when it gets busy, but the food is well worth the wait. We shared a mixed fished salad for starter and then had a golden bream and red bream for mains. You will find the local almond tart on most restaurants in Alvor, but the one on offer here was the best we tasted.

Total cost of one large srater, two mains each consisting of a large whole fish, two desserts, glass of wine, coffee and water was €31 - astounding value
