very comfortable room with a great view of the terrace and pool - thank you John. good breakfasts and very pleasant and helpful staff. one of the best places we stayed in Portugal. not much happening in the town itself, but good access to beaches and nearby towns by bus and train.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rio Arade-the room and garden were lovely. John & Carlos were very welcoming & helpful. It is a very central location on the Algarve with easy access to beautiful beaches, nice restaurants and a good tennis club if you have a car. Loved sitting outside in the beautiful garden every morning enjoying a very nice breakfast-perfect!

We had a great time at this b and b. The garden is beautiful, the room was big, the breakfast excellent. The location is perfect for exploring west and east algarve. This b and b will make your stay perfect and relaxing!

My friend and I have just returned from a 6 night stay at the Rio Arade. We had a lovely time and found John and Carlos very helpful. We liked the accommodation because it felt very authentic and Portuguese and the garden and pool were very pleasant. Breakfast was good with a varied choice to set you up for the day. The village is small, however, there are 3 restaurants, a few local bars and a mini market. Although we didn't hire a car we managed to get about ok. John kindly dropped us off a couple of times at nearby resorts and we returned by taxi at a cost of 6.50 euros. We visited Lagos by train and liked it so much that we returned on 2 more occasions during our stay. The train station (Estombar-Lagoa) is a direct 25 minute walk away and a return ticket cost only 4.80 each. You could also got to Silves from the same station but going in the opposite direction to Lagos. We would recommend the Rio Arade for a short stay with no car, longer if you hire a car.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel overlooking the courtyard would be quieter from a traffic point of view.

A charming time in a beautiful house

We booked our stay with Transeurope travel Belgium.
My wife and I were delighted to be given the wonderful garden room in Rio Arade,
It is most relaxing and elegant room in a charming colourful garden.
We enjoyed the nearby restaurants in the village recommended by the owner.
It was so peaceful and calm we particularly enjoyed the breakfasts with dresh orange juice
    Excellent price:quality ratio.

Room Tip: ask it simply the owner
